*Sophie's POV*
Life was perfect. There was no easier was to explain it. Not only had I become respected amongst my class mates, SunJung was now nursing a wonderfully ravishing black eye and broken nose. But the best thing was, she hadn't bugged me since. It had been four weeks since I'd punched her and made the guys lasagna, and I had been going round after Uni, staying at my own dorm for the other three nights. May was a little suspicious to start off with and she asked me questions but she soon backed off.
I made the guys all sorts of food, from the stuff they were familiar with to the good old English dishes such as roast chicken or Cornish pasties...which Yoseob loved way too much. I don't know why I loved cooking for them-I think it was the compliments-but it didn't feel like a chore. I even made them chocolate brownies and muffins sometimes to keep them going when they had a busy schedule, but on most occasions they'd eat them all before they had even left the house.
It was a Thursday and I was half way through English class, as usual I was sat at the back with DongWoon who had been worrying for weeks.
"I don't know what to get," he panicked running his fingers through his hair. I grabbed his hand, soothing his skin with my thumb. I turned his hand over so his palm was exposed and drew small circles in the centre of his hand; for some reason this helped calm him down. He sighed deeply and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry, it's just Gikwang is 25 in nine days and I still haven't got him anything." He started to become hysterical again so I made the circles bigger.
"Don't worry," I pressed. "You'll think of something. How do you think I feel? You've known him seven years and know pretty much everything about him, I've been friends with him a few weeks." He finally calmed down, breathing slowly. He smiled at me.
"You should become a therapist."
I shook my head violently from side to side. "No way, I have trouble dealing with my own problems, I'd be helpless."
"Okay class, you're free to go," our teacher said. DongWoon and I shovelled our work into our rucksacks and walked out as quickly as we could, trying to avoid any contact with SunJung. We hopped into DongWoon's Jag, me in the drivers seat; I'd managed to convince him to let me drive it back to his. Because the car drive so smoothly we were parked in front of Beast's house within twenty minutes. We both got out of the car to see the other five members of Beast walking out if the front door.
"Hey guys," DooJoon cheered. "We're gonna go play a game of ball, wanna join?"
"The nets we bought arrived today so we can play it in the field we set up," Yoseob whooped, bouncing up and down.
I loved playing football, I was never too keen on watching it but I've never said no to playing the sport. "Count us in," I yelled and DooJoon grinned, throwing the ball into the air and catching it again. They trotted towards us and we all made our way to the football pitch sized field. On either side there stood identical goals and the field had been freshly cut and marked out with white paint. That's one heck of a job. "Does this field belong to you?" I asked DooJoon as he dropped the ball and kicked it over to Gikwang who chipped it into the air and bounced it off his knee towards JunHyung.
"It does indeed," the leader smirked. "Pretty cool, huh?"
I looked at DongWoon who had just arrived at my side. "You own a field? As if you don't have enough."
DongWoon laughed at my comment. "Are you kidding? This field is what drove DooJoon to choose this house."
I glanced over at DooJoon who had just head butted the ball toward HyunSeung. "Just so he could have his own football pitch?" DongWoon nodded and I rolled my eyes. "I knew the guy liked the game but I didn't think it was this much."
DongWoon placed a hand on my shoulder and moved his lips close to my ear. "Now you know." He removed his hand from my shoulder and jogged towards his mates, asking for the ball. Yoseob kicked it up into the air and pelted it towards the maknae, who raised his leg aiming for the incoming rocket but completely missed. The momentum of his leg swung him around and caused him to trip himself up and topple to the ground like an unbalanced domino. I snorted a laugh and we all bawled with laughter. He sprung back to his feet, his cheeks glowing a deep shade if red. He whipped the dirt off his backside with his hands and I couldn't help but look.
"Omo," JunHyung laughed. "You have about as much grace as a three legged giraffe." I imagined was a giraffe with three legs would look like and laughed at the mental image.
"Shut up!" DongWoon spat, his cheeks burning brighter under his olive skin. I moved to stand closer to them, Yoseob and Gikwang still laughing. "Let's just get into teams and play."
"I say Sophie and DooJoon should be captains," HyunSeung suggested. We both agreed. "Pick your team then."
I gestured for DooJoon to go first but he shook his head and said, "Ladies first."
"Fine, I'm so confident I'm going to pick DongWoon," I stated with a mischievous grin.
"On your head be it," DooJoon said picking Yoseob. "He's small and quick," he boasted.
I scoffed. "We'll guess what, I'm smaller and quicker."
"I doubt that."
"I've been a dancer all my life and I've been studying taekwando for ten years, I'm so agile I could run rings around him and he wouldn't even know it." DooJoon looked a little worried now. I pointed at Gikwang and flexed my finger, gesturing for him to come to me. DooJoon picked JunHyung leaving HyunSeung in goal. We turned to face each other and since I was only 5"2 he towered over me. A devilishly charming smile forming on his lips.
"I'll go easy on you."
"Don't bother going easy on me. I can beat you fair and square," I counteracted, tilting my head to the side.
"If you don't mind losing. You really shouldn't have picked the maknae, you saw how bad he is." I heard DongWoon complain behind me but I ignored him. DooJoon may be confident and competitive, but so was I. So he was a winner, I understand that, but I hated losing as much as him, so watch out, you've met your match
I turned to face DongWoon. "Don't listen to him, I know you're kick ass!" DongWoon smiled great fully. I turned back round to look at DooJoon, planting my feet firmly on the ground.
"You ready?" He said in a confidant tone. I folded my arms and looked deep into his eyes. An insidious smile formed on my face, my lips pulling back to reveal my teeth. I spoke, filling my tone with as much arrogance and I could, and I held the pause between words longer to give it some tension.
"Bring... It... On."
