*Kai's POV*
The front door opened and my ears were filled with the beautiful sound of Sophie's laughter and a small smile started to play at my lips. I couldn't wait to tell her the news, but most of all I couldn't wait to see her expression. She walked into the living room, her mobile pressed against her ear, a huge grin spread across her face.
"Well, you should have told me, babo," she spoke into the speaker. "Instead of hiding it from me." She listened intently as th speakers on the other side of the line spoke and then she laughed. "Whatever you say, Gikwang." And then she hung up and walked over to drop onto the cushion at my side. "Annyeong, oppa," she greeted me cheerfully and I grinned at her, my heart fluttering away in my chest. I never thought it would be possible for a girl to make me feel this way, and I thought it was incredible how she had managed to get this hold over me in such a short time.
But I loved every part of it.
"I've got some news for you," I said in a low tone, not wanting any of the others to overhear me. But they were all so engrossed in yelling at Tao and Kris while they were playing the game, I was sure they'd failed to realise Sophie had come back home. But then again, she was a fairly quiet person, and the game was pretty loud. The virtually simulated explosions blowing so loudly you'd think it was a real bomb. "You know the dance you do with Sehun in the teaser?" She simple nodded. "Well, Lee SooMan has just called me and told me that I will be doing it with you instead." Sophie's eyes widened ever so slightly, the only reason I noticed was because my face was so close to hers. "And Sehun will be doing the trio with you and Luhan instead."
"Aww," she cooed and held loosely gripped fists against her slightly puffed up cheeks. "A HunHan dance," she chuckled and her nose wrinkled up ever so slightly and it made me just want to cup her small face with my hands and pull her into a long, lingering kiss.
"It'll be fun," I said, talking about our duo and I noticed her cheeks blush a light shade or pink. "Everything will probably take off a little with the fans, but I don't really care." I chuckled. The truth was, I was really, stupidly nervous for this. Even though I was ecstatic and excited I couldn't help but think about Exo's fans would say and do, especially the sasaengs fans. I have had instances in the past where they have broken into our old dorm and stole our personal items. If they will go that far, it made me sick to the stomach to think about what they may do to Sophie.
If she got hurt because of me, I could never forgive myself.
"Take off?" Sophie muttered under her breath and it slightly confused me. "Take off?" she said a second time a little louder. Her eyes suddenly shot open and her hand flew up to slap over her mouth. "Shit!" she screamed in English and flew up off the sofa. The guys had paused the game and now every pair of eyes in the house were staring at Sophie as she had her own little spaz attack.
"W-what's wrong?" YoonMi asked moving over towards her, placing her hands on your younger group make to hold her still.
"My friend is arriving in South Korea today! And she has no idea about this."
"About what?" I questioned, reaching up to grip her hand, stroking her thumb with mine to help sooth her a little, but it didn't seem to work.
"Everything!" She screamed. "She doesn't know about Beast, she doesn't know about U-Kiss, she doesn't know about you, or about the fact I'm in a kpop group." She looked deep into my eyes. "That's why I yelled at you when I was on my laptop that time, I was skyping her and if she'd have seen you she would have flipped."
