Chapter 53: It's So Overt, It's Covert

*BaekHyun's POV*

"That's not what she was saying last night." The smiled that I allowed to spread across my lips was manic and could have put the devil to shame. Pride was thumping through my system when I saw Kai's cold stare melt away, his squinted eyes opening wide, his lips that had been pressed into a thin line released and parted slightly. With an egotistical jeer, I spun on the balls of my feet and left the kitchen with a contemptuous stride, a smug grin plaster4ed across my lips.

"Wait!" Kai yelled and I heard his feet stomping against the floor as he chased after me. "What the hell did she say last night?" 

I let out a derisive cackle and rolled my eyes and I spun around elegantly to face him, Kai gasping and skidding to a halt a few feet away from me, me glaring coldly up into his eyes. "Wouldn't you like to know?" I muttered mockingly before turning back around to walk through the dining room and into the living room where every body way sat.

"You put fucking eggs in my shoes, Sophie!" Luhan yelled and pouted his lip, sulking up at her. Luhan was sat on the end cushion of one of the two settees and Sophie was sat on the arm of the chair at his side, holding an empty plate in her hand, cooing at Luhan's cute expression. 

"Aigoo, Lulu!" she uttered in a high pitched voice and pinch his puffed up cheek. "You're so cute, gege!"

Luhan swatted her hand away and crossed his arms over his chest like a child. "I am not cute! I'm a man!" He complained and my heart fluttered when Sophie threw her head back and let out that laugh of her's I admired so much. 

I moved to stand beside her as she pulled out her phone and scanned through what looked like her tumblr feed. After swiping her thumb along the screen she pressed it still to stop the moving and handed it over to Luhan. "Oh yes, Luhan, you're sooooo manly." He took the phone and looked through the post, it was picture after picture, gif after gif of him doing things like aegyo, putting on lip balm, even holding a piece of his passport documents in his mouth with big puppy dog eyes. She patted his back. "I am over whelmed by your manly man-ness."

Sophie set the plate that had once held the pancakes down on the coffee table and turned her head round to look in my direction, her glistening, crystal blue eyes connecting with mine and her lips spread across her white teeth to reveal her perfect smile.

A ringtone stared to sound out and on impulse, everybody in the room started to pat down on their pockets until Luhan held up Sophie's phone and started to wave it around in the air. "Soso," he said and Sophie's eyes unlocked from mine to look at Luhan. *Soso? What gives him to right to give her a nickname?* I thought angrily, but then scolded myself for thinking such mean things against my hyung. "It's DongWoon." Luhan handed the mobile over to Sophie and she quickly answered it.

"Yobosayo, oppa!"

*Sophie's POV*

"Yobosayo, oppa!" I chirped down the speaker.

"Soph, I've got an update!" He spoke in English so quickly I could have mistaken it for a different language. 

I furrowed my eyebrows and scratched at the back of my head.I honestly had no idea what the hell he was talking about. "What?"

"On Gikwang, he has just snuck off again without telling us where he was going. Do you remember what I told you yesterday?" I vaguely recalled DongWoon informing me that he had caught Gikwang sneaking out of the front door suspiciously several times. "Well, with tonnes of sneaking about I have managed to find out he has been sneaking out secretly since you moved in."
