In the Shadows (Mattheo Riddle)

chapter 12

I sat on my bed, for a while debating if I should go to the try outs. I wasn't sure I wanted to give him the satisfaction of having me at his beck and call. We weren't anything. He didn't mean anything to me. All that conversation showed me is just how cocky and stuck up he is.

Just when I had decided on not going, dumb, dumb and dumber busted open my door.

"what is with people doing that today!" I let out aggravated.

It was Draco, Theo and Regulus.

"come on sissy, try outs!" Draco said overly excited. Why he thought I wanted to be anywhere near him, I have not the slightest clue.

"I think ill sit this one out boys, not feeling it" I signed, getting under my covers, pulling out my homework.

"theres plenty of time for homework later, you always come to this!" Theo screamed, pulling the blankets off me.

These kids never took no for an answer.

"Im serious! I'm not feeling up to it!" I said, playing tug of war for my blanket.

"Thats it!" Regulus screamed, throwing my blanket off and throwing me over this shoulder "i am not taking any more of this rebellious bullshit from you!"

"I haven't got a coat! I'm going to freeze!" I screamed, kicking and slapping his back.

"You can have mine idiot, no way you're missing this" Theo replied, slamming my door shut.

I need to find out what the door did to these boys.

He didn't put me down until we left the castle, he didn't want to have to chase me back inside.

I wish he would've dropped me sooner, so Mattheo didn't have to literally see me get dragged out of bed to be here.

We had locked eyes by the time Theo was passing me his sweater, and judging from the look on his face, he was not happy I was forced to be here.

"Oh thank Heavens you've got her!" Pansy sighed with relief, I rolled my eyes.

"Yes I am here, you're all happy now! Good luck boys." I said, making my way up to the stands.

I have to admit, I really did enjoy watching try outs, I just didn't want Mattheos chin to get any higher in the air by me being here.

The boys did great (as per usual) and all of course made the team, no surprised since Draco is the captain and they were an automatic anyway, but at least they tried!

We all made our way into the great hall for dinner, I had no social meter to engage and debrief about what we all just witnessed, after all it just happen not even an hour ago. Everyone took their usual seats on the common room couches, expect for me.

I went to my dorm, and locked the damn door this time. I just needed to be alone.
