At lunch, I told Jay and Simone all about the mysterious boy I encountered earlier that day, the boy known as...
"Avien," Jay said dipping a fry in his ketchup before placing it in his mouth, "Avien Vincents, he bullies everyone, and everyone is afraid, very afraid." The boy said, making me raise an eyebrow.
"Who does he think he is!?" I scoffed, crossing my arms like a child, "I've faced worse at my old school."
Simone widened her eyes, surprised at my sudden outburst. To be honest, I'm not usually like this, but the way Jay described the boy infuriated me. He reminded me of all the bullies at my old school. The bullies I couldn't face because I was scared.
I didn't want to be a target at this school as well.
Especially Avien's target.
I made a mental note, telling myself to stand strong.
"Well, your old school isn't here." Jay reminded, taking a huge bite from his burger. "Avien is dangerous and you should be-"
"Afraid, very afraid." I completed, rolling my eyes. The curly haired boy nodded in approval.
"You get it now." Jay said, mouth full.
"Yes," Simone confirmed, "Avien isn't your typical 'bad boy'." She told me making air quotes with her fingers, "He beats up boys, girls, teachers, little kids, animals. You name it! The only reason he isn't on death row right now is because of his corrupt dad."
"What do you mean?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.
"Avien's dad is a politician, which means he's filthy rich. Rumor has it his dad is also part of the mafia-" Jay explained before he was interrupted by Simone who playfully elbowed him.
"Those are just rumors." She clarified, eyeing Jay, "What we do know for sure is that Avien's dad is a corrupt politician. Heck! The only reason that boy is in public school is because he's been expelled from every private school he has attended." She looked around before whispering, "Also, he's repeated the tenth grade twice. I don't think it's because he's dumb or anything. I think it's just because his goal in life is to make everybody's life miserable. That boy is a sadist."
"So, he's seventeen?" I inquired doing the math in my head, Jay nodded.
"Assuming he isn't some weird twenty something year old in disgui-"
Simone elbowed the boy again before he could finish his sentence. Jay rubbed his elbow pouting.
"It was just a joke Simone."
Michelle walked up to our table, a nervous look on her face. "Hi guys." She smiled, "Hi Gwen." The girl greeted with a small wave.
She looked around before turning back to us, "Arielle and Lisa aren't around so they can't bother me. What's up?"
"Just telling Gwen about Avien." Jay shrugged, watching Michelle take a seat beside me. The blonde grimaced.
"That idiot?" She rolled her eyes, "Forget about him, he's a douchebag."
"I have." I informed her proudly and she nodded. The blonde was about to say something else when two girls walked into the cafeteria with a confident stride.
One had long wavy red hair with pale blue eyes while the other had short silky dark hair with dark brown eyes and Asian features.
Arielle Reese and Lisa Choo respectively.
The two girls, along with Michelle are some of the richest kids in our school.
The duo usually hang out with Michelle since they are family friends. But, the blonde doesn't like them much. According to her, Arielle is a too intimidating while Lisa is just plain rude.
