Chapter 1

It's a normal Tuesday morning and I'm walking into the firehouse, when I see everyone standing in a huddle, talking about something. It was obvious something was off. I walked over too them. "Hey guys-" "shut up, look over there." Chimney said, pointing at the changing rooms, where an attractive, tall man was putting uniform on. Thoughts started racing through my head, all I could think about was how hot this guy was, and how I felt something weird for him already. "Who the fuck is that?" I ask, with spiteful tone in my voice. "That, is Eddie, our new probationary fighter." Bobby says, loud enough for Eddie to hear. "he's fit, and I'm into women" hen responds, checking him out.

Once he'd finished putting on his uniform, Eddie walked over to us confidently. "Hey guys, I'm Eddie, Eddie Diaz." He said, reaching out his hand to chimney for a handshake, then hen, then Bobby, then me. I turned him down, I wanted to act like a total dick to him, so I could pretend I didn't feel this way. "Okay guys, let's hit the gym." Bobby states, and so we do.

I was in the gym, lifting weights when I caught glimpse of Eddie showing of how much he could lift to chimney. My blood began boiling with anger and spite, I hated the fact that he could walk in here, day one and everyone would immediately love him. So I grabbed a couple extra weights for my bench press and began lifting, but chimney was still in awe over Eddie, I mean for fuck sake you've known the guy 2 minutes.

After my gym session, I was taking photos of myself for my progress board, when Eddie pipes up. "If you wanna look swolle, you've gotta get better lighting." "I don't need lighting to look good Diaz" I respond in a stern tone, "alright man but all I'm saying is your muscles look smaller in this light, you need dimmer lighting for them to appear bigger, look" he replies, showing chimney pictures of him. God this guy was a total prick, yeah he was cute but he was a total show off. I left the gym and hit the showers. And once I'd got back into my uniform, the alarm went and we had to go out on a call.
