Chapter 18

-TIME SKIP-

It was Christmas morning, Eddie and Christopher spent the night with us at Bobby and Athena's, so Chris opened his gifts with harry and may. Everyone, including maddie and chimney, where coming over for Christmas dinner, like we did every year. "So kiddo, did you like your presents?" I ask Chris, "yeah !! I got you one Buck, merry Christmas." He reply's, handing me a box. "Awh thank you buddy" I open the box to find a watch from my favourite brand, "omg Chris!! Thank you so much" I say, hugging him tight, "dad helped!" He said, "hey, it came from your heart that's what matters to me. You already opened what I got you." "I got you one too babe" Eddie says, handing me a slightly bigger box. "I got you one too love." I say, handing him a box. I open mine to find a Manchester City shirt inside, a vintage one. I secretly loved soccer (football) and Eddie remember. "Omg thank you baby!!" I shout. He opens his to find a picture of us at Disney, in a fancy frame. "Im sorry Mine is worse." I say "hey no, this so better than any present I've ever had, money can't buy family. thank you." He says, hugging me. I put my shirt on and decide to wear it all day.

Once everyone arrived for dinner we began with starters, noodles (not very christmasy ik) I decided I was going to talk to chimney today, sort things out."hey chimney can I talk to you before dinner real quick?" "Yeah sure, let's go outside." He says, and so we do. "Look I wanna apologise for my behaviour towards you." "It's fine Buck, but you need to speak to maddie." "I ain't apologising to her." I say sternly. "I didn't say apologise, she will probably apologise. Just talk it out with her, we're all good okay?" He said, offering his hand. I take it and we end up hugging. He was kinda right, I probably should talk to her. I decided to call her over. "What Evan." She says, chimney goes back to the table. "I just want to say. Uhm, I don't want stuff to be awkward ." "Apologise then." "Uhm no?" I say, annoyed. "Then just don't speak to me." She says, before walking away. My sister hates me, fuck.

The rest of the day was awkward, but I didn't want to let maddie ruin my Christmas. Everyone went home, leaving me, Bobby n Athena, may and harry and Eddie and Chris cuddled up watching Christmas movies together. I was snuggling into Eddie. This is where I wanted to be. With my family, cozy and feeling safe. In this moment I felt genuinely happy. I wanted everyday to feel like this, yes my "mom and dad" hated me, they left a week ago, yes maddie hates me and probably always will, but I don't mind. I have my fiancé, my son, my parents and my sister and brother. I was happy, and that was all that mattered to me.
