Reject Squad: the struggle of commandos

The Target

It had been a few days since the mission with the Beholden and Mimix leaving. Echo Squad was relaxing in their barracks.

Spirit was just laying on his cot enjoying the moment. Dax was taking apart his DC-15, doing maintenance on it. Skeleton was taking the time to sharpen his hidden knife in his wrist as it was getting dull. Volta was not only cleaning his weapons as usual, but would also be going over the logs from the previous mission.

"Echo Squad! Report to briefing right away!" Jinx ordered over comms.

"Spirit come over here please." Volta said as he was still focused on the logs.

Spirit got up and walked over to Volta. No one else moved since Volta hadn't yet moved.

"Yes sir?" Spirit asked.

"Why isnt your log from the last mission fulled out?" Volta questioned.

"What do you mean sir?" Spirit asked confused.

"Your log is not on file from our last mission," Volta stated, "Why?"

"I'm sorry sir, I thought I filled it out." Spirit admitted.

"Thank you," Volta started to get his gear ready and got on the comms, "Sorry Jinx, was just asking Spirit why their log was missing from last mission."

Skeleton went over towards the briefing room, wondering what this mission will be. The rest of the squad also headed towards the briefing room. Soon the squad would enter the briefing room.

"Lets hope this brief is... brief." Dax said sarcastically.

Spirit let out a chuckle.

"Really?" Jinx asked shooting Dax a look.

"Dax, not the time." Volta said with a groan.

"I thought it was comical." Spirit admitted.

Skeleton sighed at the joke, as he thought it wasn't funny, and waited for Jinx to begin the briefing.

"Anyway," Jinx began "Today's mission should be easy. A simple snatch and grab of the commonwealth supported spy network."

"Sounds simple." Spirit said with a nod.

Dax took out his data pad and noted down the objective.

"Why are we doing a snatch and grab this isn't exactly our kind of normal mission." Volta stated

"Easy enough though." Dax stated.

"This sound easy enough but with us nothing is ever easy." Volta mentioned.

"Yeah...I agree with Volta, Nothing is ever that easy..." Skeleton agreed.

"I am assuming we can take heavy weapons?" Volta asked.

"Yes, your weapons free for this one. The target is the main handler of the whole network, and the reason you guys are needed is because he's behind enemy lines in a city. He operates his day ring out of an old warehouse turned into some sort of horror themed attraction." Jinx explained.

"Do we need him alive or can we just blow up the Warehouse?" Skeleton asked.

"It is preferred that he is brought in alive but if have to take the shot, take it." Jinx explained.
