Reject Squad: the struggle of commandos

Echo squad was preparing for the assault on the village. Spirit was in sniping position at the ready. After Skeleton got  zapped by his faulty com link a few more times he had gotten it somewhat operational again. 

"Are my coms working?" Skeleton asked hoping it wouldn't just be static. 

"Yes, be prepared for an oncoming assault!" Volta ordered through coms. 

"I have you cover Volta." Sprit said in coms. 

Even from the village,  Echo squad could see that the droids had overrun the base. 

Volta would leave the tunnel hoping the droids would follow him through it. At this point, both commonwealth and CIS armor had showed up. One took aim and fired at Spirit's location. Spirit's eyes stretched wide. 

"Oh crap!" Spirit yelled in a panic. 

Spirit would practically swan dive off the balcony. He tucked and rolled on impact and bolted for cover so he still could help Volta and his ragtag squad fall back. 

"What are we dealing with?" Skeleton asked through coms. 

"Stay low and out of sight! Commonwealth and CIS's!" Spirit hissed in the coms. 

Volta would fire over the walls on the palates he had made to fire over as he called everyone to the walls. Droids from the base start to march over to the village as commonwealth  infantry followed the armor. 

Spirit quickly, yet stealthily makes his way to the walls . Cassatopia tuned to Skeleton.

"Skeleton come o we need to move." Cassatopia said.  

Skeleton would move up and start to fire upon the droids happy to finally be back in the action again. Meanwhile Volta would blow the tunnel. Clones from every rank and specialty would man the walls to repel the advancing enemy. Spirit stuck to the shadows continuing to advance towards his brothers in arms. 

"This is where the fun begins." Skelton said whilst throwing a thermal detonator at a tank. 

More enemies approached the village as ammunition started running low. 

"This might be our last stand!" Jinx hollered. 

Skeleton jumped onto his comm link, "Out of ammo... only got a few grenades and my electrostaff... surrender might be our only chance of survival." 

"I'd rather pop you in the head then hear you ever say that again." Volta replied on comms. 

"Lets not turn against each other now. I'm looking for an opening to regroup with you guys, nearly got blown up had to take a dive off a balcony so lets not go after each other." Spirit says on the comms. 

"Just saying... and I'm just gonna borrow a dead clone's blaster for a bit... it has some ammo." Skelton said nonchalantly into the comms, he then started to fire on more droids. 

Volta would pull up his Z-6 rotary blaster and began firing. 

"All clones gather at the village center! We will regroup for our last stand. For the republic!" Apalm would say in the comms. 

Clones started to get off the walls and make their way to the town center. Volta would flash back to firing at Okami, he'd grow more enraged using his Z-6 to its last round, reloading into his second clipand going back to firing, tearing through most of the common wealth armor and units. Spirit shook his head and changed his course to get to the center of the town. 

Skeleton grabbed a few more blasters from dead clones and made it to the rest of the team. 

"Well...we just need a miracle right now." Skeleton said somberly.
