It had been three days since the rescue of the padawans. Cassatopia had been taken off world to have injuries looked at, no one had even seen him get hurt. Echo Squad had been in their barracks relaxing. Volta was leaning against the wall looking over logs. Mimix was trying to hone in on her force abilities by attempting to lift her loth cat plushie. Spirit was just laying on his side on his cot watching what all was going on. Skeleton was leaning back in the chair he had been sitting in. Jinx walked into the barracks his scar from the Aroura crash starting to become visible.
"Echo Squad. Briefing in twenty minuets." Jinx said.
With that Jinx would walk away. Spirit didn't say anything in regards to the briefing.
"Alright." Skeleton grumbled.
Skeleton got up and got ready to head to the briefing room. It had seemed to him that these missions were just non stop, back to back. Mimix looked over to Spirit before following Skeleton out of the barracks heading to the briefing room. Spirit sighed and headed out. Volta was the last to leave the barracks.
As they all got to the briefing room Jinx would look up at the squad.
"This one is a bit of an odd one Echo Squad." Jinx stated.
"What do you mean by that sir?" Spirit would asked puzzled.
"How is it odd?" Volta would question.
"Separatists are suspected to be in the northern swamp lands near the border of the Beholden Freehold. That's not the weird part yet." Jinx began.
"What is the weird part sir?" Spirit asked.
"Are we going up against the Separatists?" Mimix asked a bit timid.
Jinx shook his head.
"The weird part is that the separatist have been up there according to the reports that they are... scared." Jinx explained.
"They must be scared that we will come and kick their ass." Spirit jeered.
Volta smacked Spirit upside the head.
"Don't get cocky." Volta snarled.
"Alright, alright you don't have to hit me all the time." Spirit said wincing.
"This is no joke. Droids like these don't get scared." Jinx warned.
"Well you all did sorta leave a pretty big impression when you rescued Cariko and I. Cariko said I held my own rather well in that situation." Mimix would interject.
"No, something just doesn't feel right about this." Volta would mention.
"They could be scared of the freehold forces. Droids against droid combat can be intense." Jinx would say.
"Interesting..." Spirit muttered.
If you all don't remember, the Beholden Freehold is a country made up of droids that rebelled against the humans decades ago and caused millions of deaths." Jinx explained.
"So then why should we worry about it?" Volta asked.
"The Beholden don't like humans. You're basically going to be in their backyard." Jinx would inform.
