Reject Squad: the struggle of commandos

No man left behind

Echo Squad was in the briefing room it was quiet until Commander Aplam stepped up and played something. 

"This is the Aroura....we are surrounded by hostile native forces...advisor and the Jedi are alive...does anyone hear me?" it was a transmission! 

"I-I knew he wasn't dead...." Okami said quietly, his eyes widening. 

"Get some rest echo team. You leave at first light tomorrow." Aplam stated.

The team went to rest for the night, it was the early hours of the morning when Thyph woke the team up. Shinx sighed and Okami let out a faint groan of protest about being woken up so early. 

"Come on we have a briefing soon. Get geared up up, we've left Jinx waiting too long." Thyph said.

"I told you all he was alive." Okami sneered. 

"And we were wrong for giving up on him." Thyph stated. 

Okami glared and rolled his eyes. 

"Okami...I'm sorry I didn't believe you." Thyph stated. 

"I do not much care we are lucky they are alive" Volta said.

"Briefing in 10 minutes in operations." Thyph stated. "Hurry up and get geared up." 

The team started to get ready, Volta grabbed both of his rpgs and his z-17 minigun grabbing enough ammo to become a walking armory.  

"Let's get to the briefing." Thyph stated. 

The members of Echo squad arrived in the briefing room. Echo squad was not alone there was a company of other clones in the briefing room with them. Okami wondered if this was the whole rescue team, he just wanted to go in and get the advisor out. 

"Alright men, this mission is of the upmost importance. We must rescue both Jedi, the advisor, and all the men still on the ship." Thyph stated. 

They begin to board the gunship with the company of clones. 

"Remember lads, Gundark company will distract the city defenders while echo team clears the Aurora." Thyph comms.

The gunship lifts off the ground and takes off at a high speed, after a few minuets the gunship slows and touched down on a beach. When the door to the gunship opened and everyone filed out of the gunship. The Gundark company had went to set up a perimeter. The Gundark company commander walked over to Thyph and the two talked about strategy. 

Shinx was walking back to regroup with echo squad but Okami was walking over to Shinx and bumped into him. Shinx fell to the ground. 

"Sorry about that." Okami stated.

He outstretched his hand to help Shinx up. Shinx grabbed Okami's hand.

"It's ok." Shinx stated. 

Okami pulled Shinx to his feet and they walked over to the group. At this time Thyph and the Gundark commander had finished up with their conversation. The Gundark clones had begun to move out. Okami tried to follow them getting a bit confused. 

"No Okami we aren't going with them." Thyph said stopping Okami in his tracks. 

Okami shook his head. 
"R-right sorry." Okami replied. 

"We are going to the east and sneak around the city. We are to avoid contact at all cost let the Gundark do their job. Is that understood?" Thyph ordered. 

Echo team nodded.

"Let's move out!" Thyph ordered. 

"Yes sir!" Echo squad replied in unison. 

Thyph started to move down the path and the squad followed him. They came across a road after a few moments of silence, 
"We'll follow this road." Thyph said. 

Okami starts walking down the path but the wrong direction. 

"Okami!" Shouted Thyph. 

"Yes sir?" Okami asked looking back over at Thyph. 

"Wrong way." Stated Thyph. 

"Uh it's a short cut?" Okami stated nervously. 

"Okami this way!" Thyph snapped. 

"Im coming chill." Okami grumbled as he walked back over. 

When Okami got back to the group, Volta slapped Okami upside the head. Okami glared at Volta. 

"Let's go." Thyph ordered. 

"I'm waiting for you to move." Okami snapped. 

Thyph grabbed Okami clearly annoyed by him and pushed him to the front. "Go." Thyph demanded.
