Jinx was tending to Cariko in the medbay as everyone rentered the ship. Spirit was holding the lothcat as he walked into the med bay.
"What the hell happened?" Spirit asked.
"That damned bounty hunter snuck in after you and Skeleton left." Jinx said coldly while still tending to Cariko.
"The kid ok?" Spirit asked.
"He'll recover." Jinx said.
Jinx looked over to Spirit and saw the loth cat in his arms.
"What the hell is that..." Jinx asked.
"A loth cat sir...." Spirit admitted.
"A loth cat?" Jinx echoed.
"Yes sir." Spirit replied.
Jinx sighed pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Why?" Jinx asked rather irritated.
"It just ran to me and then we were attacked." Spirit claimed.
"Oh right? What happened that got you shot at?" Jinx questioned.
"Because they wanted the loth cat don't know what they were gonna do but it wasn't a good thing I can tell you that." Spirit informed.
Volta finally made his way inside the cruiser and headed to the medical bay when he heard the chatter going on. The baby loth cat sprung at Volta when he saw him. Volta caught the baby loath cat, it caught off guard a bit as he stumbled back a bit.
"The fuck are you little demon cat?" Volta questioned.
Spirit ran up to Volta gently grabbing the lothcat from him.
"Sorry sir, didn't realize he'd jump at you. Pip Squeak is still jittery." Spirit said.
"Why the fuck is there a loathe cat on the ship?" Volta asked annoyed.
"Umm well it ran up to me and clinged to my leg then Skeleton and I were shot at sir." Spirit explained.
Volta rolled his eyes then smirked.
"Also, you're welcome for earlier there Spirit." Volta said with a condensing snicker.
"Huh? What happened earlier?" Spirit asked.
"One word Y-Wing." Volta remarked.
"That was you?!" Spirit exclaimed.
"No duh." Volta replied rolling his eyes.
"Should have figured with that sharp shooting." Spirit chuckled.
"Spirit, why are you trying to butter me up?" Volta asked seeing through Spirit's act.
"I uhh..." Spirit trailed off.
Volta sighed and walked to the armory of the ship.
"I am checking inventory." Volta said coldly.
Spirit followed Volta finally working up the nerve to asked the question.
"I was wondering if I could keep him. The loth cat sir..." Spirit admitted.
"Go for it Spirit." Volta said not really caring.
"Thank you sir." Spirit said relieved.
Spirit left the armory glad that he was able to keep the loth cat. After a bit, Volta left the armory having finished up taking a look at the inventory.
Skeleton was monitoring the republic communications, he came across a priority message to all surviving Jedi.
"Hey Jinx, everyone may want to hear this. A priority message to all surviving Jedi...." Skeleton said.
"Play it." Jinx stated.
Skeleton nodded and played the message over the comms of the ship, the message soon started up,
"This is Master Obi Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic, have fallen with a dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi. Trust in The Force. Do not return to the Temple...that time has past. And our future is uncertain. We will each be challenged. Our trust. Our faith. Our friendships. But we must persevere. And in time, a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you, always."
Jinx and Cariko let out a sigh upon the message concluding. Cariko managed to keep himself composed and Jinx could tell that he was trying not to show how badly it got to him.
"Ok...Well this means that the situation is offically fucked," Skeleton grumbled, "Meaning, this Phylo wasn't an isolated incident, but it does means General Kenobi survived so there's that." Skeleton concluded.
