The squad was aboard a venator heading to Phylum. Everyone spare Volta and Jinx were outside the briefing room.  The rest of the squad was ordered to stay outside the room. The room was filled with republic officers who were now chewing out Volta for his actions.

"Unacceptable! Killing one of your brothers! You outta be put out on the firing squad for this action!" Admiral Chang yelled.

He glared at Volta and Jinx.

"Isn't this the second time you've done this?" Admiral Chang grilled.

He looked back to Jinx.

"Are you aware that he destroyed countless amounts of credits worth of equipment!? Including two of our transports? I say he's done Jinx, CT-5354 is herby relieved of his duties unless you can convince us on why we should even consider to let him stay. He's a menace to all his brothers!" Admiral Chang continued.

"I did what was necessary to stop a rouge commando who had gone mad first at the loss of a girl  he fell in love with on mission which mind you, goes against our codes. He shot squad lead Thyph and I simply acted out of self defense. And this last time, he took over an entire cloning facility. Which, could've crippled our efforts had I not stopped him. Two transports is nothing compared to our entire war effort sir." Volta argued calmly.

"Very well, we will dismiss the charges of murdering a clone based solely on the actions of both Okamis."  Admiral Chang stated.

"Sir, the actions that squad leader Volta took were only necessary to take out a rouge clone." Jinx stated.

"Be that as it may, he still has to answer for the destruction that he caused." Admiral Chang retorted.

"I caused that destruction trying to stop the rouge clone. The destruction was for the best, he had cover, I needed to take it out before he could use it to his advantage." Volta would remind.

"There were other ways to take out the rouge clone without destroying millions in supplies." Admiral Chang would argue.

Outside the room Spirit would be pacing wondering what was going on in the room, Cassatopia would be sitting up against the wall waiting for Volta and Jinx to be done.

"If he didn't die there, it would've been going for several more cycles or a complete facility loss." Volta yelled.

"In what universe do you think purposely firing a rocket launcher at a transport would kill him?!" Hollered Admiral   Chang who was beginning to lose his patience.

"It got the transports he was hiding behind out of my way and made him come out into the open." Volta said plainly.

"I have personally reviewed camera footage from the hanger. You could have flanked around the transport and attacked him." Admiral Chang snapped.

"Flank a sniper who had eyes on me," Volta scoffed, "You truly don't know how skilled Okami was."

"You're lucky that general Sebdura needs you on Pyhlo. Otherwise, I would make you suffer." Admiral Chang growled.

"The fucking do it admiral because you weren't there and you have no idea how tough it is as I'm forced to do everything I can to kill a brother twice." Volta taunted.

Jinx recoiled in his seat and slowly  face palmed. "Here we go..." He sighed.

"You may be right clone, but that doesn't excuse the pointless damage caused." Admiral Chang stated.

"It wasn't pointless." Volta said as he stood up and walked out of the room.

"Where are you going! We aren't done!!" Admiral Chang yelled.

Spirit looked up over at Volta as he walked out of the room.

"Sir? Everything ok in there? What's going to happen now?" Spirit asked.

"We are done here," Volta shouted back at the admiral before looking at Spirit and activating his comms, "Let's get back to Phylo Jinx come on."

Jinx rushed out of the room looking like a raging bull.

"What the hell was that!?" Jinx snapped.

"That was negotiating." Volta stated simply.

"Ok," Said Jinx whilst grabbing Volta and pushing him against the wall, getting in his face, "listen here you self centered bastard! Do you have ANY idea the kind of shit I go through to keep your ass on the front lines!? This doesn't help me at all you asshole!" Jinx yelled.

Spirit ran up to Jinx to try to stop him.

"Let's not turn on one another! Aren't we a team!? So both of you cut it out!" Spirit seemed to plea.

Volta would grab Jinx and threw him off.

"Jinx, you realize how often I bust my ass while our higher ups can sit in their offices fucking telling us off when we just saved an entire cloning facility, do that again and I wont hold back next time." Volta hissed.

Spirit went to help Jinx up.

"Sir, with all die respect, there wont be a next time while I'm around." Spirit promised.

"Volta...I'm not asking you to go back in there... I'm ordering you to man up and take your lumps for once." Jinx said.

"They can handle the problems outside the frontlines. I deal with enough orders as is. We try to fight these locals on their terms,  and my tactics helped save a lot of lives but do they care? NO! Do they give a fuck I prevented a clone facilities possible destruction? NO! Do they care we all as a squad bust our asses and risk our lives on every fucking mission? NO! So why should I fucking care what they have to say?!" Volta roared.

"You don't think I know that? I know better than anyone in this army of your actions. But I'm tired of covering for you all the time without a single fucking thank you." Jinx said unfazed.

Volta sighed.

"Jinx, you know how grateful I am for you covering us. I may not show it but, if I didn't care, I wouldn't have saved you that day when you and the others hid in the armory." Volta said coldly.

The rest of the squad sat there in silence watching the two.

"Then, thank me by going back in there and take responsibility." Jinx ordered.

"Didn't you just say you weren't going to make him go back in there?" Spirit asked.

"Me saving your life should've been thanks enough Jinx. I could've left you all in that armory to die. Instead I armed you and got you in fighting condition." Volta stated.

Jinx exhaled in frustration before storming away, Spirit followed Jinx to make sure he was ok.

Volta would walk back towards the room, reentering, Jinx looked at Spirit before looking back at Volta.

Volta would enter the room fully.

"Admiral, if you got a problem with how I go about things then so be it, but how I do things gets the job done,"  Volta stated, You higher ups disregard my squad constantly, but, we have the highest success rate out of most commando squads." Volta sneered.

The admiral glared at Volta.

"You're dismissed clone." He said.

Jinx looked over at Volta, about to say something before Volta stopped him.

"For once I'll handle my own problems Jinx. Leave please, or does the admiral have no further comments towards how I go about my duties?" Volta glared.

"You're dismissed for now, we are coming up on your stop soon. You best prepare to get off my damn ship." Admiral Chang said emotionless.

"Figures." Volta sated.

As Volta walked off, his blaster misfired due to lack of maintenance on it for the first time.

"Clean your blaster Volta!" Jinx snapped.
