Severus was furious with the headmaster for leaving Harry with the Dursleys without bothering to check up on him and see if he was doing well. He angrily walked over to Dumbledor's office and knocked the door.
'Come in.'
Severus opened the door and sat down in the chair in front of the Headmaster's desk.
'Severus, how can I help you today?'
'I'm here to discuss a problem regarding Harry Potter.'
'Whatever has the boy has done this time?'
'He has not caused any trouble if you are talking about that. Did you know about Potter's home life?'
'I know from Mrs. Figg who lives across the street from Mister Potter that the boy has been taken care of.'
'Did she tell you that his relatives have been abusing him?'
'No, that has not come to my attention.'
'You'd think that after being Headmaster for so long, you would know the signs of abuse but of course not.'
'I'm sorry for that, I know you had a difficult childhood yourself.'
'This is not about me, what are you going to do during summer break. I'm sure that Potter would not be safe there.'
'The blood wards protects the boy from Voldemort.'
'In order for blood wards to work he has to call Privet Drive his home, I'm very sure that he doesn't, it does not work. There are many other ways to protect her. You could have placed a Fidelius Charm on the house of someone that would be willing to care for Harry.'
'It seems that you are starting to care for the boy now, haven't you.'
Severus didn't not answer.
'You are right, I should have thought of other ways to protect the poor boy.'
'So you agree with me that the boy should be placed with other guardians.'
'Yes, I believe I should have done that a long time.'
In Gryffindor Common Room
'Hi guys, what are you talking about.' Harry asked Hermione and Ron.
'Have you noticed that Snape, didn't yell at a single person today? Not even when Seamus blew up his cauldron. And to top it off, he gave points to Gryffindor! Did he hit his head when he fainted?' Ron asked incredulously.
'Yeah, I know. I've started talking to him in the hospital wing and I'm also doing homework in his quarters because the common room was too loud and once, I gave him some advice about being nicer, and I think he followed it.'
'Nice job, mate.
'It's so lucky you get to work in Professor Snape's quarters. Do you think he would allow me to do work there too?' Hermione questioned.
'Maybe, I can help you ask him next time.'
'Thanks.'
