'Thank you, Mrs. Granger. I enjoyed the cookies and brownies a lot.'
'That's great, Harry. I made them myself. Now, you two go play.'
Hermione's bedroom
'Hermione, I brought some games for us to play.' and he took out an impressive amount of board games both magical and non-magical. 'Which one do you wanna play with first.'
'Umm. Let me see.' she saw a game that caught her eye. 'Oh, how about this one.' she took a deck of cards from the pile, Truth or Dare.
'Yeah, Dad brought that for me when I saw it at Diagon Ally. Haven't tried it out yet.'
'Okay, let's play "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who goes first.'
Harry won. 'I go first.'
'Truth or Dare?'
'Umm. Dare.'
'Pick a card.'
'Here.' he picked out a card and read, 'Run to your parents and sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
'Come on.'
'That's kinda embarrassing.'
'You got to do it.'
Harry ran downstairs and sang 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' quite well while Hermione was trying to keep herself from laughing from her professor's and mother's expressions. Harry was beet red after the performance and promptly ran back upstairs.
'What was that about?' Monica asked.
'Who know?'
Bedroom
'Your turn, 'mione.'
'I pick truth.'
'Get a card.'
She read out, 'Do you have a crush and if so who?'
'Do you?'
She sighed and said, 'Yeah. Don't judge me when I tell you who though.'
'You know I won't.'
'It's-it's Malfoy.' she whispered.
Harry widened his eyes before remembering that he could not judge Hermione.
'I know, I know, he is definitely not the best person to have a crush on but I don't know. He's kind of cute. He is truly a spoiled brat though, that's undeniable. It's just a silly crush anyways, I am sure I'll get over it before the start of next year.
'Well, I'm glad that you know he's not a very good choice for a crush.'
'Ugh. Let's just move on. Truth or Dare, Harry?'
'Truth.'
'What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?' ' The most embarrassing thing I've ever done is when I was in school and accidentally called my teacher "Mom" and then I was embarrassed.'
'Really? That's it?'
'I'm not finished. I did some accidental magic and turned my hair red and my teacher's hair pink and then suddenly apparated to the roof of the school. Took the firefighters hours to get me down. Worst part is, I peed my pants.'
'That sounds funny.'
'Wasn't for me.'
After playing the game for about half an hour, they decided to play exploding snaps. Then Gobstones and wizard chess. Hermione showed Harry her collection of books and time seemed to fly by and Harry needed to go home.
'Harry. We need to go now, it's time for dinner.' Severus went to Hermione's room and announced.
'Aww. But I wanna stay longer.'
'Harry, Miss Granger's family need to eat dinner too and it seems like a burden to Mrs. Granger to need to cook dinner for another person, right?'
'Okay. See you next time, Hermione.'
'Bye, Harry. Oh wait.' she handed the bag full of books to Harry, 'Thank you, Professor. I really enjoyed reading those.'
Severus gave her a small smile which surprised Hermione a bit because she had never seen the man smile.
They said goodbye to Monica before leaving via apparition.
'That reminds me. I need to take you to Diagon Ally next month. I have an eye appointment scheduled for you.'
'Why? My eyesight is perfectly fine when I'm wearing glasses.'
'Are you sure? I see you squinting at the board in lessons all the time and sometimes even when I show you things up close, you cannot seem to see clearly.'
'But I don't need new glasses.'
'You obviously do, Harry.'
'Fine. I guess.'
'Pray tell, where did your relatives get these glasses? They look horrid and broken.'
'In the lost and found box.' Harry said under his breath.
Severus felt an urge to go to Privet Drive and throttle Petunia and Vernon Dursley, instead of doing that, he hugged Harry and Harry hugged him back.
