You looked all over the island for Test Tube, your girlfriend. You've looked in her hotel room, you've also asked people, but they didn't know where she was either. She has been gone for a few hours and you were starting to get worried... or maybe you just missed her.
You started to pace around, thinking where else she could be. You even thought about relooking the places you've already been. Suddenly, you've got an idea where she could definitely be.
Her lab!
You facepalm in realization. Duh! Why didn't you think of that first? She obviously going to be in there since she's a scientist. You shake your head and start making your way to the vending machine where her lab is under.
You enter the code in the order you saw Test Tube put it in. As you do, you hear the metal door on the side open up. You go inside, yelling as you slide down the tube, landing on the cold floor with an 'oof'.
"(O/n)!? What are you doing here? HOW did you get here?" You hear Test Tube ask as she's looking at you in shock and confusion.
You start to get up. "Well... I decided to check on you since you been here for like..." You start counting on your fingers of the hours she's been down here. "9 HOURS!?"
Even Test Tube looks shocked at this. "9 hours? Gee, has it really been that long?" She asks, putting her hand on her head. "Wait! You still didn't answer my question. How did you get here?"
You smile awkwardly. "I might've... seen you come here a few times." You shrug.
She sighs before going back to her work. "Well, look around if you want. Just don't touch anything."
You frown at this. You came here to spend some time with her and that's what you were going to do. You smile as you make your way towards Test Tube, taking your hand in hers. "Come on, Test Tube. You've been working hard enough for today. Why don't you take a break and spend some time with me?" You say, gently pulling her towards the exit.
Test Tube hesitates and looks back at her lab equipment. "Golly... I'd love too but... I still have some experiments to finish. And some data to analyze. And some reports to write. And..." She trails off, listing all the things she has to do.
You shake your head and interrupt her. "Nope. Test Tube, you're a brilliant scientist, and I admire your dedication and passion. But you can't spend all your time in this lab. You need to relax and enjoy yourself sometimes. You need to live a little." You say, looking into her eyes.
Test Tube blushes as she lowers her gaze. "But... what about you? Don't you have things to do too?" She asks, trying to find an excuse.
You chuckle and wrap your arms around her. "Me? I have nothing more important than you right now. You're my priority, Test Tube. You're my girlfriend, and I love you more than anything." You say, softly kissing her cheek. "Plus, I miss you."
Test Tube smiles and melts into your embrace. "Oh, (O/n)... I love you too." She says before sighing. "Alright, I'll take a break... just for you." She says, kissing your neck.
You giggle. "Good! Now, let's go." You say, grabbing her hand as you lead her out of the lab.
You take her to your hotel room and take out your laptop so you both can watch a movie together.
You both get on the bed as you pick a movie to watch. You finally pick one and you lay the laptop in the middle as the movie starts. You and Test Tube are sitting next to each other, but she suddenly pulls you into her lap, resting her head on top of yours.
"Thank you, (O/n)... for this." She says, smiling.
"You're welcome. I'm just glad to spend time with you."
