-------------------The waves ran over your feet as you sat sadly by the shore. The recent challenge had gone horribly and you felt like you were the blame for it. You could still feel your teammates judging gazes lingering on you. You were surprised you weren't the one voted out, but at least you're still here!
Lazily kicking the sand in front of you, you started to hear soft footsteps coming from behind. Turning around, you saw Clover who had a concerned look on her face.
"(O/n)? Are you okay?" Clover asked, her voice filled with concern.
You flashed her a small smile before replying. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Clover."
Clover stared at you for a few seconds before sitting in the spot next to you. You looked at her with a confused expression until she spoke.
"You're upset about the challenge?" she asked.
"No... yes. Yes I am." For some reason you were willing to admit that. Usually you would just say you're fine, and that would be the end of it. Strange. You shrugged it off and focused your view back to the ocean.
"It's okay, (O/n)! Everyone struggled on this challenge, so I'm sure you're fine!" Clover said, trying to cheer you up. "So turn that frown upside down!"
You looked at her as you felt a hand on your shoulder. "I don't know.. I feel like I let everyone down. I mean-- didn't you see the way everyone was looking at me?"
Clover's expression softened as she listened to your words. "You didn't let me down," she replied, sounding genuine. "The challenge was.. tough. I know. But don't give up! You just have to bounce back!"
You perked up at her words. Maybe she is right. There has to be a reason you're still here, right? You appreciated her words as a small smile crept onto your face. "Yeah you're right! I just have to bounce back!" you replied, now grinning. "Thanks, Clover," you added, bringing her into a hug.
Clover smiled at you as she wrapped her arms around you, pulling you closer. A small, dark green hue appeared on her face. "No problem!"
The two of you stayed like that for a few seconds before pulling away. The rest of the day continued with you and Clover chatting by the shore, the waves and the sunset creating a calm scene.
