**Carlyn's POV**

Brendon is finally coming home today. I still can't believe it's actually happening. There were times that I honestly thought that he  wasn't going to make it. That he would never get to meet our child. Thankfully, the worst of it is behind us. Don't get me wrong, we still have a lot of work to put into his rehabilitation. Everything in the house is ready for him coming home. We, or rather Pete and Patrick,  have moved some of the furniture around to make room for his wheelchair. Hopefully, by next week, he'll be able to use his crutches around the house. Suddenly, I heard my phone playing Brendon's ringtone.

"Hey Babe, everything alright?"
"Yeah, just wondering when you'll be here, I can't wait to get home."
"I am literally locking up the house as we speak. Hopefully, I will be with you in about 20 mins. OK? I'll see you soon. Love you. "
"Drive safe, love you too."

**Brendon's POV**

I can't believe I actually get to go home today. Don't get me wrong, I will be eternally grateful for the medical care I have received. But there's no better place than home, well, unless you're in Hawaii. Cmon, it's Hawaii. Here she comes, I can hear talking with the staff at the front desk.
"Hey Carly, stop gossiping and get your ass in here, I'm ready to Go!!!! I sing loudly. I can hear her laughing as she enters my room.
"Finally! I say. I thought you'd forgotten all about your poor husband sitting here all alone. "
She rolls her eyes at me laughing. "Anymore of your cheek, and I will leave you here. I bet the nurses will be glad to get some peace and quiet when you leave. I know you've been leading them all a merry dance with your call buzzer."
"Babe, I was bored and lonely."
"Yeah, well, they do have other patients to see to as well." I tease him. Just then, Dr. Merrik enters with Brens discharge papers, prescription meds, crutches, and pamphlets regarding hospital physical therapy.
"Well, Brendon, I think you have everything you need to go home. Remember, you are still recovering from a traumatic brain injury, so you still need to take things easy. Carlyn has my contact details in case you need assistance. I will see you next week for your out patient review. Carlyn, you also need to take care and rest while you can. I can see your bump has dropped. By the looks of things, your baby could be here anytime soon."
"Thanks for everything, Dr Merrik, we will see you next week. I will make sure he.... that we, take it easy. Cmon, Bren, you ready to leave?"
"Helll, yes I am. Let's get out of here, Babe.

**Carlyns POV**

Thankfully, our house doesn't have any steps that we need to navigate with the wheelchair. "I can't wait to get out of this thing and sit in a proper chair. It feels like coming home from tour,"
"You don't normally arrive home in a wheelchair!" I joke. As I push Brendon into the house, he is greeted by shouts of "Welcome Home." He is surprised to see everyone and their partners here. Dan, Nicole, and Mike wanted to arrange a welcome home party for Brendon. I was happy to let them, as long as I didn't have to be involved with the organising. All the FOB guys and their partners are here, along with Tyler & Jenna, Josh. Gérard and Lynz and everyone's kids, of course. Brendon looks overwhelmed but happy. It's not very often he is lost for words.

**Brendon's POV**

Man, it is so good to be home. It feels like a lifetime since I was here. It's good to see everyone as well, just like old times. Well, apart from the wheelchair. Carlyn looks beautiful, a little tired, but beautiful. Her bump has certainly grown. I didn't think she could get any bigger or any more beautiful.  She has a glow about her. It's hard to describe. She looks angelic almost. All though I don't think you get any pregnant angels I laught to myself. "Hey Pete, Josh, can you guys help me get onto the couch, please? I need to get out of this goddam chair, thanks."

**Carlyn's POV**

It's good to have Brendon home and to see him enjoying his time with everyone. Whilst everyone is chatting and eating, I excuse myself to get Brandon's things from the car. Josh and Pete both jump up to help me.
"Carlyn, you ok?"
"Yes, Jish. I just need to get Brendon's stuff out of the car and get him his meds. He is due them in 15 mins."
"Pete and I will bring his stuff in. Where do you want them? In the bedroom?".
"That would be great. Thank you both."
I prepare Brendon's meds and take them to him. "Here, Babe, you need to take these."
"Why? I'm home now?"
"I know, but these are for your brain injury. To help your memory recover, to help prevent seizures and to stop fluid building back up in your brain."
"There's nothing wrong with my brain. It's my leg and collarbone that are broken."
"Yes, I know, but remember you hurt your head in the accident as well and had major brain surgery."
"Oh yeah, I forgot. Is my hair ok?"
"Yes, it's growing back already." Typical Brendon, more concerned about his hair than his actual brain, I think to myself, laughing.

After a few hours, everyone starts to tidy up, and they get ready to leave. We can all see that Brendon is getting tired. Pete and Josh are staying with us for a few nights until Brendon is able to use his crutches to get around. Due to the baby's impending birth, I'm not going to be very good at helping him in and out of bed, to the bathroom, etc.
"Cmon Bren, let's get you ready for bed. You look exhausted. I'm going to make sure Pete and Josh have everything they need and get myself ready for bed. I'll be back in a minute." I tell him as  I look at him lying there. I honestly thought we had lost him that night.

I put on one of Brendons old tour shirts and some shorts and slip into bed beside him. "I am so happy you're home, Bren." he slams his lips into mine. "Me too, Babe. I have missed you so much. I hate sleeping alone. You have no idea what I want to do to you just now."
"I'm sure I do Bren, but we're not exactly in the best position with your leg and collarbone and I have a stomach that is about the size of mount Rushmore" I laugh as I lie with my head on his chest listening to the soothing sound of his heartbeat. A sound I thought I would never hear again. He kisses the top of my head
"Carly, I am so sorry about everything that has happened, and I am thankful for everything you have done for me. You must have been so stressed and with the baby and everything it was the last thing you needed. "
"Bren, you are the love of my life. We vowed to be with each other in sickness and in health, remember?"
"I know......listen Carly, when I was in the coma. I could hear things, not everything. It felt like I was there, but I wasn't, if that makes sense. I had dreams, but it was actually like flashbacks to when we were younger. It's hard to explain, but I always knew you were there. Listen about that night..."
"Bren, can we talk about it another time? You've just come home, and I don't want you stressing out about anything. It's been a long day, and both need some sleep. "
"Sure, Babe, it can wait."

What exactly does Brendon want to talk about. Does he remember what he recalled when he was in a coma, and will he tell her?
