** 2022 **

A lot has happened in the past tnree years. After the Pray For The Wicked tour ended in October 2019, everyone was looking forward to a long relaxing break. However, no-one expected it to last as long as it did. When the world came to a stand still in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we were all forced to quarantine at home, and life changed for everyone. The girls enjoyed having their daddy home all the time, as did I. Brendon kept in touch with the fans by streaming regularly, and the girls loved making guest appearances. Skai will be turning 4 in a few months, and Ava is almost 3. They are both happy, confident little girls. Most of the time, they get along. However, they can be little divas. They definitely take after Brendon. Lockdown provided Brendon with the luxury of time to experiment with new music styles and sounds.

Today, there is a buzz of excitement around the house as tonight is the launch party for the new Panic! At The Disco Album, Viva Las Vengeance. The girls are all fed, washed, and ready for bed when our sitter arrives.
"Hi Mandy, the girls are ready for bed. No later than 8.30." I tell the girls. Mandy's in charge, girls, so behave and do as you're told."
"Carly, are you ready to go? Brendon asks, entering the lounge to say goodnight to the girls who are now smothering him in kisses. "We're gonna be late if we don't leave now."
"Goodnight, Daddy. We love you,"
"Goodnight monkeys. Be good for Mandy, OK? I love you too, girls."

I take a minute to take in my husband. husband. He looks handsome in his black skinny jeans, a white short sleeved button down shirt that shows off his tattoos and black leather biker jacket. Smart but casual.

"Goodnight girls, be good!" I warn then lovingly.
"We will. Love you, Mommy."
"Love you girls."
"Babe, you look beautiful. Let's skip the party and have one of our own," he suggests, laughing.
"Yeah, that would look great, not showing up to your own record launch." I retort.
"It was worth a try." He replies with a wink.

** Later that night **

The launch party was a success, and everyone had a great time. The champagne, cocktails, and canapés were a hit with everyone, especially Brendon who is now slightly drunk. We get home and say goodnight to Mandy and check in on the girls who are both sound asleep before we head to bed.
"Bren, did you have a good night?"
"I always have a good time with you, babe."
"I have a little something for you. To remember the release of Viva Las Vengeance...."
"Carlyn, you didn't need to get me anything." he tells me as I hand him the gift box that I wrapped up earlier.
"I hope you love it," I say nervously, biting my lip.

He then takes out the photo frame, looking at the picture of the girls I had placed inside.
Opening the box, he looks up at me puzzled, as he begins to open the smaller box that is inside.

You're pregnant?" He asks excitedly

You're pregnant?" He asks excitedly. Jumping up off the bed, wrapping me in a hug.
"Yes...."I laugh."I know it's not great timing....."
Babe...." his eyes are glassy with tears as he gently places his hand on my stomach.
"Another baby?. We are so blessed, Carly."
"I know, babe. It was a bit of a surprise.."
"How far along are you?"
"Would you believe me if I said 16 weeks?"
"NO.FUCKN.WAY!!" He laughs
"Yes."
"How? You've not had any morning sickness or showing any signs like you did with Skai. Have you? Or haveci just be so oblivious to everything?" He muses.
"Nope, nothing really. I went to the Dr as I thought I was anaemic again as I felt tired and slightly off. She ran some blood tests and called me back in to do a pregnancy test. My HCG levels in my blood were very high, meaning I'm further along than we thought. She reckons around 16 weeks."
"How did we not notice?"
"Bren, we've both been really busy. I've still had my period albeit lighter than usual and have no symptoms. We had absolutely no reason to suspect. We have a scan in the morning, and we will know for definite then."

As we get into bed, Brendon kisses me deeply, smiling as he pulls away. This is the best surprise ever he tells me, placing his head on my stomach and kissing it."Hey baby. I'm your daddy. We can't wait to meet you." I can't help smiling at how cute he looks.
"You don't even have much of a belly, babe. I think this one might be a boy as he's not given you any problems, and by this time when you were pregnant with Skai, you had a small bump and still had morning sickness."

"Well, we can find out tomorrow.."
I'm talking to myself as Bren has now passed out and emitting gentle snores.

The next morning, we arrive at the OBGYN office. Brendon is like a little kid at Christmas morning.
"Do you want to find out the sex Carly? Or do you want a surprise?"
"Do you want to, Bren?"
"I kinda do, but only if you do."
"I want to. I want to be prepared, seeing as we will be on tour for most of this pregnancy."
"Let's do it then." He grins.
"Mr & Mrs Urie?" The OBGYN calls.
We follow her through to her office.
"Right, Carlyn, if you pop up on the bed and roll your waistband of your trousers down, we will take a little look at this little one and see exactly how far along you are. I'm assuming this was a surprise for you both?"
"Oh yes! This was the last news we were expecting to hear." I laugh.
As she places the gel on my stomach and starts to manoeuvre the ultrasound wand over my abdomen. we hear the loud whooshing of the baby's heartbeat. We are both looking at each other with huge grins on our faces.
"Ok, that's a good, strong, healthy hearbeat. Let's take some measurements." We are both staring at this little person on the screen with amazement. "Right now, you are measuring at 17 weeks. That makes Babys' due date around 18th January 2023. Babys' vitals are all good. Look here." She sayscpointingbat the tv screen. "You can see their eyes, mouth, and fingers. Everything's as it should be. Would you like to know the gender?"
"Yes!" Brendon says excitedly
"Ok? Let's see if we can get the baby to move slightly. Do we have any predictions.
"I think it's a boy," Brendon states. "Carly?"
"I don't care, Babe, as long as they are healthy."
"Ok guys, congratulations? You're having a .......boy."
Brendon has tears rolling down his cheeks. "That's our son Babe, can you believe it?"
That's when I realise that I'm crying as well. Our family will be complete.

As we head home, Brendon is hyper, more so than usual. "I can't wait to tell everyone we are pregnant again. Can we put it up on social media, babe?"
"Go for it." I tell him,"It's not like I can hide it for much longer. " I laugh.
