Chapter 8

I woke up, with the feeling of something hitting my head. I groaned, and threw the covers over my head to avoid the obnoxious light. I was having sort of a weird dream I just couldn’t remember. Some giggles echoed through the room, which made me wonder why I was listening to giggles. Then I remembered I was still in Cecilia´s house. Another thing hit my head, a pillow, I guessed.

“Ah, I guess she’s just dreaming about her and Nicholas having –“I heard Cecilia say. I instantly opened my eyes, threw the covers off me, and looked at her with a horrified face.

“I’m not that type of person!” I said before throwing a fluffy black pillow at her face, causing all of us to giggle.

“I know, but I knew that was going to be the only way to get you finally awake.” She replied with a smile on her face. I rolled my eyes, but smiled and got out of bed. I stretched and looked at the white clock placed on her matching table. It was only 9 AM, causing me to yawn and throw myself on the bed again.

“I could use five more minutes of sleep, you know guys…” I murmured. I felt as if I hadn’t slept in ages.

“Oh, no. We are going outside.” I heard Jenn say. “Maybe we could hang around in your hotel and meet Nicholas.”

I groaned again. I knew that they would keep on bothering if I didn’t get up and finally get ready to well, do something more productive. And I was hungry, by the way. I got up again.

“Alright, but maybe tomorrow, because remember yesterday? I still have to talk to him about the whole problem.” I said.

“Don’t be silly. We all know talking won’t be a solution for him to forgive you. You know what guys want these days. Just invite him into your room and then-“Cecilia was saying. I covered my ears to avoid what she was about to say.

“Of course not! Oh my god.” I said, with my hands still on my ears. They all laughed a little and started going downstairs. I followed them and had breakfast with them.

“Okay. Tomorrow maybe you will be able to meet him. I need to talk to him, alright? Au-revoir!” I said with a smile and waved at them. They said goodbye as well, and then left. I walked into the hotel, and wondered where Nicholas was. I wanted to call him, but I was afraid I would just interrupt his working hours. I decided to do what I always did- to ask for something through the room service. I went inside my room, and quickly took the room’s phone and dialed 111. I asked for some Macarons this time, and waited until I heard a knock on my door. I really didn’t know what I was going to say to him. It was not like I was used to these types of things. I had never gotten into these kind of problems, and maybe I was just being a little too paranoid, but I just felt so wrong about me totally forgetting him and the whole date thing. Was I just going to say I’m sorry and that it was because of a photo shoot? Or was I going to say I had totally forgotten about it? I didn’t want to look like a bad person, nor hurt his feelings or anything. What if he ended hating me? Oh my god. What if he just decided to break up with me? What if—and just then, I heard a knock on my door. I sighed nervously, and trembling, I opened the door. I saw Nicholas again. I was so glad to see him. It did felt as if I had been so distanced. I smiled nervously. I couldn’t look straight at his face.

“Look, I’m so- so sorry, I mean I had this photo shoot and then I- I had to go to this place and I had totally forgotten and- and look I’m sorry, I know I messed up-“I started rambling nervously. I finally looked at his face, and I got surprised he was just smiling.

“Its okay, Ianna. I’m sorry, it was my fault. I didn’t even remind you or anything, look its fine. I’m sorry, too.” He said with that shy smile- that smile I loved, and those eyes that really seemed to make him look sorry. At that moment, I just wanted to kiss him, because I don’t know, he looked so cute and so perfect at that moment. I smiled as well and hugged him tightly, breathing in his vanilla scent.
