Chapter Eight: Honesty

Well, for one, I was to be a Queen of England. Two, I had run away from home. Three, I had run away from home with a stranger I barely knew. Four, I was starting to develop feelings for the stranger called Nathaniel Greene. Five, I trusted him, for whatever the reason. And six, I had no clue, as to what I was supposed to do.

When he came out of the bathing room, he was top naked and clean shaven. He looked so amazing, that in this moment, he could have whoever his heart desired. I blushed and looked away.

“Miss Moore, I have misplaced my shirt, would you mind helping me look for it?” He said, casting a trying look at me.

“I am quite sure that you took it with you, on your body, in that chamber, and I don’t think shirts can misplace themselves. It must be in the bathing chambers.” I said annoyed.

He laughed, and my blush deepened. I fumbled with the bed, trying to make it. When I turned to go around the other side, I walked into him, and jumped.

He took a hold of my arms, and I sucked in my breath, looking up at him. Then his mouth once again crashed onto mine.

I wasn’t going to kiss him again. I wasn’t, period.

But that promise was hard to keep when his gentle lips caressed my own, I melted in his embrace, my knees weakening and pressed my hands onto his muscular – and naked – chest. He felt so good.

His kisses became more urgent and my mouth opened to accommodate his tongue. He kissed me passionately, without holding back. And I drowned in his kisses. Then he broke away, catching a breath and when he did, until I had time to say something even more silly, his kisses continues, rough and unbiased.

The he picked me up and swayed me in his arms, I, instinctively circled my arms around his neck and he looked in my eyes briefly.

He carried me to the bed, and laid me down, his mouth incidentally landing on mine and he pressed down on me. Then he broke away from my mouth leaving me panting and rained a trail of passionate kisses down my neck.

I wanted him. I did. He felt so good. And he definitely had experience with this.

Oh, no, I thought, as the realisation dawned on me… He had done this before, he was so experienced… He seemed skilled in taking maidenhood from girls like me. I couldn’t let that happen. Not to me.

I wouldn’t.

“Wait, Nathaniel, we… we can’t… we can’t do this.” I said and he stopped kissing my neck to look up at me.

He got off me and sat at the edge of the bed.

“I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to lead you on…” I apologised.

“No Miss Moore, I’m the one who should apologise. I got quite carried away, and you are right, this will bring nothing but problems.” He said, looking around the room.

“No…” I said.

“No?” Now he looked back at me.

“Not Miss Moore… Thekla, call me Thekla.” I said, “Miss Moore is just too formal for me, since… Since well, we…” I trailed on.

“Well, then you may call me Nate.” He smiled at me, his emerald eyes shining out of his jet black eyelashes.

I smiled back.
