I FOLLOW BEHIND THE GENERAL AS WE WALK DOWN ANOTHER HALLWAY. I let my eyes wonder around boredly. What have I possibly done wrong? Okay, I was curious as to what he and Genya were whispering about but can you blame me? I was curious.
Suddenly the general stops without a warning making be bump into his back nearly making me loose my balance. I regain myself before staring at the general with a look.
"Why were you listening in on my conversation with miss Safin?"The general spoke raising and eyebrow. I glance away shifting my foot to another.
"I wasn't really listening in on your conversation with Genya."I tell him and purse my lips. The general squints his eyes at me and eyes me down.
"Tell me the truth."he says and I scoff rolling my eyes ignoring his look.
"It is the truth, I was just heading to my room and I just so happen to find you and genya talking in hushed voices, and when I heard that you guys were talking about me I was curious, so I decided to listen in."I tell him. "There are you happy? Truth be told." His eyes darkens and I start to feel nervous.
"How long have you been standing there? What did you here?"He questions with a darkened voice sensing shivers down spine.
"What's with all the questions?"I ask crossing my arms raising and eyebrow. He hums.
"Stubborn I see."He says and I let out a scoff rolling my eyes.
"I'm only stubborn when there's a reason to be, Therefor I have my reason."I bite back, his eyes darkens.
"Watch your attitude."he demands.
"What are you? My father?"i question catching him off guard his eyes lightens up and i squint my eyes suspiciously. It's silent for a few moments before he spoke again.
"I expected better from you miss Marshall. I'll see you at the winter fete."He says staring straight into my eyes making me feel a small hint of fear. I suck in a breath. Watching as the general walk pass me leaving me standing in the middle of the hall.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in and put my hands to the side, reaching one of my arm up I touch my necklace.
I wish you were both here. I thought before walking down the hall where the general has left and towards the direction of my room.
