WE WERE GETTING READY TO SHOW OURSELVES TO EVERYONE. I felt as if I'm about to throw up, I quickly turn to Genya and shake my head.
"Genya, I can't do this, it's too much."I tell her. "I mean look at myself, people find me as a monster and they sure will stare at me as if I'm going to kill them all."I ramble off. Genya quickly takes ahold of my hands.
"You'll be okay, Irina, before you know it the night will end and you'll be done. All you have to do is wait for the general's orders, and than both you and Alina will present your powers."She tells me and I shake my head in disbelief.
"I will literally burn the whole palace down, by all the stares."I tell her and she takes a deep breath squeezing my hands.
"Don't think about all the stares your getting, after Alina finishes her performance and when it's your turn to shine, think about what matters you the most, think about your friends."She reassures, I glance away for a second, I take a deep breath before exhaling shutting my eyes for a moment before nodding my head.
"Okay,"I breath out giving her a forced smile, she nods her head before glancing at Alina.
"You both ready?"She asks, Alina glances at me before turning back to Genya.
"As ready as I'll ever be."She says. We than leave the room and start walking towards the ball room where all the guests are at.
I walk beside Alina while Genya walks in front of us as we walk up the stairs, some of the guest who were outside the ballroom turns their attention towards us, I fiddle with the sleeves of my white and gold kefta steadying my breathing. Genya than turns to us.
"You ready?"She asks, I take a deep breath before nodding my head along with Alina. She nods her head.
I feel Alina grab my hand in reassurance before we walk into the room full of guest. Immediately all the attention shifted towards us and the chatter dies down as we step foot into the room.
I look around in awe, the walls were white with some gold trims to the wall, the floor was clean and there was some flowers around the room to add some details. There was a chandelier in the middle and a high ceiling roof. It was absolutely breathtaking.
From somewhere in the room stood Kaz and inej who were both staring at Irina in awe struck watching as the pheonix summoner looks around in wonder. Kaz and inej could've sworn their heartbeats jumped for a brief second when they saw Irina look their way for a second.
When Kaz bumped in Irina earlier he saw how familiar she had looked but couldn't tell if it was actually her until her name was called, that was when he knew he found her, it was than he realized she has been living in the little palace this whole time, after Irina left with the tailor he immediately went to Inej and told her he had found their Irina. Inej couldn't feel more than happy to know that Irina was here, that they were gonna get her back and bring her home.
