♣Newt's POV♣

I haven't spoken to Tommy much the last few days. We'd enhance in short hello's when we both found ourself's with free periods. But that was about it.

Actually, I've spoken to Minho more than Thomas...

He's actually not as bad as I thought he was.

Walking out of Science I notice Minho lent up against a wall across from my class.

"Hey," He says smiling.

"Er, Hi,"

"Free period?"

"Yep..." I mumble walking slowly away from him.

"Me and Teresa were just about to go bowling if you want to come?" Minho says.

"No thanks. I don't want to intrude," I say. "Plus I don't like being a third wheel," I add.

"Noooo, no. Mate, you've got it wrong. Me and T are just friends..." Minho says laughing. "If it was anyone of our lot she would go for it would be Thomas. Anyone could see that," He says laughing a little harder.

"Either way, I can't, sorry. I have a Spanish exam in a few weeks that I need to pass," I say.

"Oh, well if you need help, just ask Thomas, stupid idiot if an A star student in that shit," He says then walks away.

I walk home and when I get there I realise Gally is home. Which should concern me because I know he would usually be in the gym for running practice right now. But I don't ask. He wouldn't tell me even if I did.

"Newt?" I hear Gally shout from upstairs. "That you?"

Yes, it's me. Who else would it be???

"Yeah," I shout back.

I pour myself a glass of water and walk up to my room trying not to spill it. When I get there I drop my glass in shock and it shatters on the floor.

Thomas is in my house.

"I need your help," Thomas says bluntly.

"Did Gally let you in?" I say quietly.

"No, erm. You, kinda left your window open... So I just er, climed in I guess?" He says awkwardly.

"Newt, are you okay? I heard glass break??" I hear Gally shout from a few rooms over.

Not like he really cared.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just dropped a glass. I'm about to clean it up," I say leaving my room to go and get a brush.

When I get back Thomas it still sat on my bed as if nothing happened.

After I finishing cleaning it up I look up at Thomas.

"So... What do you need help with?" I say folding my eyebrows together.

"I don't really know how to ask?" He says shyly looking at the floor.

"Just ask away," I say smiling and laughing a little.

"Er... You're gay right?" He says.

I almost choke.

"Er,"

"Sorry.. Sorry." He says holding his arms up. "I was wrong. Erm, I'll be going now," He says getting up.

"No." I say. "Well, I mean, yes. But I just.. I didn't know people at school knew. I mean I haven't came out, well officially," I say sighing.

"Sorry," Thomas says quietly.

"So was that what you wanted to ask me?" I say.

"Not all of what I wanted to ask you,"

"Well, what else did you ask me?"

"Gally knows, and Alby right?" He says.

"Erm...Yeah,"

"How did you go around, er, telling them?" He says playing with his hands and looking at the floor.

My heart stops for a few seconds.

"Wait," "You're gay?" I say shocked.

"Yeah, but I just,I don't know how to everyone. Especially T because I think she's in love with me, and I love her too. But just--just not like that," He says.

"I mean, I dunno... Just sit them down and tell them, and if they don't like it then they're obviously not good friends,"

"Did anyone not accept you? When you told people it I mean?"

"Gally was weird at first but after a while he just, got over it I guess. It was my dad who took it the hardest," I sigh. "That's why he hardly ever comes home.. He's ashamed of me,"

A tear falls before I can even acknowledge how upset I'm getting talking about this.

"Newt," Thomas says stepping towards me. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." He says.

"It's fine," I say wiping the tears and giving him a small smile.

"I'm going to tell them," Thomas says.

"Good for you," I say patting his shoulder.

"Will you be with me when I do it?"

"Well, I mean, if you want me too I will," I say.

"I want you too," He says and I can't stop the smile illuminating my cheeks. 

"Okay,"
