Aisha

"you’re not going anywhere.” he gritted, gripping my hand tightly.

“what are you doing let me go.” I screamed but he grabbed my arms slamming me violently into the wall. The impact making slightly light headed and my vising blurring for a while. The pain at the back of my head, radiating to my entire head.

"You’re mine. I’m not letting you run to that loser. You’re mine do you hear me.” He roared in my face and I flinched.

“Christian let me go you’re hurting me.” I pleaded before he proceeded to kissing me roughly along the length of my neck. “no let me go.” I protested struggling to push him away. I succeeded to push him off causing him to stagger before crashing into the nearby glass table. I dashed to the sofa, quickly grabbing my phone before making a run for it, going up stairs before he could grab his bearings. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it far before he grabbed me by the ankle and I fell unto the stairs hitting my ribs. The pain was excruciating but the adrenaline high from the survival instinct overrode whatever searing pain I felt at the moment.

“ I told you. You can not get away from me” he growled. I could hardly utter a word because all the information running through my head right now was to get as far away as I could from him. Using my other leg, I kicked him in the face and he screamed in pain before cussing loudly.  Immediately I ran into the closest room which unfortunately had to be our and slammed the door shot and locking it with the key. Rapidly, I pushed the wardrobe nearby against the door. I had always complained of its position in the room but right now I was so grateful to God it was where it was.
I wasn’t long before I heard him jab at the door knob. He kept banging at the door furiously and screaming profanities while I ran into the walk-in dressing room before hiding in one of the closet behind the clothes. I immediately started searching for the emergency contact Javier had given me before leaving for his trip. When he gave me, I laughed it off saying nothing would happen. If only I had known then, I wouldn’t have laughed at the moment. To be honest I just didn’t want to believe he had turn into the beast right now. He looked totally unhinged and I feared what he may do. He had told me it was someone I should reach out to and that he was connected to security and could get me help immediately. I just pray it’s some secret agent or someone with the police. Who am I kidding? At this point, even if it was a mafia lord that rescued me, I wouldn’t care. I pressed dial and waited for the person to pick up but nothing. I’m guessing it’s kind of late for a call on the direct line but I was still hopeful the person would pick up. I tried again a couple of time as the banging at the door went on. I tried again one last time saying a silent prayer and keeping my fingers crossed.

“please pick up please pickup.” I whispered as the dial tone went on till the line finally connected. I heard a sigh on the other end before a groggy hello followed. “oh, thank God.” I sighed gratefully. “this is Aisha, … Javier’s friend I’m been…” I didn’t finish my sentence be I heard a final bang and everything went dead quiet. You know that moment in the horror movie where the character was in a tight situation hiding from the serial killer. This right here felt like that situation. A chill ran down my spine as I broke into a cold sweat and was petrified. I could hear the faint sounds of the other person on the line saying hello but I couldn’t speak.

I caught the glimpse of a dark silhouette walking around in the moon lit room without as much as a sound. I knew where I was hiding was only a matter of time before he caught onto me and dragged me out of the hideout by the hair. I decreased the volume of speaker and placed a trembling hand over my mouth and my nose to mask my breathing. A lone tear ran down my check as I heard the rustle of clothes. Probably him searching through the clothes for me. I was so terrified but I couldn’t run either I was just stuck there. A silent prayer on my lips as I watch the mad, I once loved and cherished ransack our walk-in closet. I didn’t even get the chance to tell my address to the person on the phone but I was hopping somehow by some miracle they would get a means of tracing the phone reason why I left the call to go on. I went dead still when I saw his figure stand right in front of the wardrobe. It wasn’t long before the door flew open then I felt his rough grip grab a chunk of my shirt and pulled me out to the floor. I tried kicking my way out again but he grabbed both of my legs and looked at me with a macabre smile.
