They stopped in the driveway of the house after a dead silent drive home.

"Drew seems like a dynamic man" she said trying to break the ice.

" I guess you guys talked alot." He said quietly.

"Yeah. A little." She said grabbing her clutch and about to open the door but it wouldn't budge. "you didn't unlock the doors. "

"Because we aren't quite done with this conversation. " he replied calmly, his hands gripping the wheel tightly.

"Oh my God. Not again. " she sighed holding her forehead.

"What do you mean 'not again'? I leave you two for two minutes and you're off playing all friendly and engrossed with him. Laughing and giggling like some love struck high school teenager." He hissed.

"For crying out loud, we were just talking. We just had a normal conversation like any adult would. Am I not permitted to be courteous with him given he invited us for dinner? " she stated in disbelief

"You think I'm gonna believe that? You really think I'm that stupid? What did you guys talk about? Why were you so merry with him. " he insisted

"Are you serious right now? So I can't smile at any man and they can't smile at me either? Unbelievable." She scoffed

"Stop avoiding the question and answer me. " he admonished.

"Because it's useless. You always act like this and have this ridiculous attitude every time. Am I not allowed to have other people in my life?" She asked in frustration.

"Not if you keep acting like you're thirsty every time you're around a man" he flared

"Excuse me? " she hissed

"You do that everytime. you think I don't notice?" He pushed on.

"Wow." She scoffed in disbelief. " you are... " she sighed ."we just talked about our relationships. Happy? "

"Really? " He said still not believing a word of her explanation. "humor me about how our relationship is so amusing that you guys would be laughing like that. "

She looked at him in annoyance, "ok. You know what. I've had it. I'm done." She said unlocking the door and moving out.

"Come back here." He screamed after her but she didn't stop till she got to the door. She heard him loudly slam the door of the car and the beeping indicating it was locked. He kept yelling her name but she never stopped or looked back. Taking her shoes off at the entrance of the hallway, she walked into the parlor but he grabbed her wrist before she could cross the threshold and slammed her against the wall.

She winced at the pain from the impact

"Let go of me." She ordered, pushing him out of the way. "You know I've had it with you. You think I won't retaliate to you rough handling me because I can't fight?" She questioned in a tight tone.

"Oh now you want to act all tough? Why? Because Mr Thigh muscle offered protection perhaps. " I glared at him. "He did didn't he?" He laughed darkly. "Ofcourse he did."

"He's got a name Christian. And it's Javier . " she corrected.

"Here you go defending him again."

"It's not defending. It's correcting, get him name right. You know how irritating it gets when someone doesn't get your name right." She chided taking off her coat.

"Abi you don ton he small akwara?" He snorted in pidgin.

"You say? " she snapped

"Or rather, you don ton na panthère na. As you want na rich man. " her hand flew across his face in a hard slap that resonated throughout the room.
