Aisha
We had left the office to change for a dinner Christian was to attend. I thought I would go home and meet him and we leave together but apparently, he had other plans in mind. Him popping up unannounced completely rattled me and with Javier's intervention, I don't know if it helped or made things worse.
The drive back home was eerily silent and I waited for when he would snap but he didn't. All he did was hold my hand throughout the drive. His hold was little tight but I could manage. I decided to rub soothing circles with my thumb in order to calm him because I knew he had 2 states when he's upset; 1. he snaps at you
2. he remains quiet while brewing a plan on how to grill you.
But this new found aggressiveness was one I wasn't used to. I didn't know what to expect and how to deal with it appropriately.
Ofcourse, confrontation wasn't an option and at the very least he could harm me so I had to go in a more diplomatic manner with more of a psychological approach.
Once home, I noticed he got a dress for the occasion. Not that it was a problem but I realized now he was intent on what he had promised that night and he has begun putting a move on his plan. Not just that, now thinking about it, I'm starting to miss a few clothes in my side of the closet.
"How is the dress coming? " he asked, standing at the door of the dressing room.
I swallowed hard, recollecting my thoughts. "Oh yeah. It's lovely. " I replied. It was indeed a beautiful dress. It was an emerald midi dress with bishop sleeves, a sweet heart neckline, with buttons along the midline. It had a minimalist slit at the front and a trumpet skirt.
He hugged me from behind, a contentious smile playing on his lips as he led at our reflection in the mirror. "I see I got the size right." He whispered placing a light kiss on my neck.
"Yeah. It's a perfect fit." I replied with a smile. "But if we are still going for the dinner we need to hit the road right away." I added.
"Sure. Just want to enjoy these few moments alone with you." He whispered buring his nose at the crock of my neck, his arms firm around my waist. "Lately it has felt like everyone is trying to steal you away from me." He sighed.
"No one is stealing me away. I'm here with you. " I reassured.
"For now." He mumbled against my skin before turning me around to hold my hand. "Let's go. " he said and I followed him without a word.

The little dinner was in a lovely restaurant with low lighting in the room and wisteria flowers hanging all throughout the length of the glass ceiling.
Christian and his friend had been going on and on about some business with law which at some point started feeling like gibberish to me. So I completely zoned out as i leisurely sipped on my glass of water. Alcohol wasn't an option since I don't drink, so I had no choice than device another method to distract myself. I busied myself with my phone: texting Javier all the while throwing occasional smiles and responses when necessary. Me being here was actually pointless, because I was like a third wheel holding the candle for their dinner. I was absorbed in my thoughts when I heard his friend call out my name.
"So tell me Aisha... where are you from?" Drew asked.
I opened my mouth to talk but Christian interrupted. "We're from the same place. "
"Oh I see. And did you meet here or..."
"We had known each other for more than 12years but we always seemed to miss ourselves along the way." Christian explained.
