YAY! Chapter 2!
I hope you like as always!
Just as an FYI, I'm writing this as I go so there may be some delays.

The four of us entered the Mess Hall and I was astonished to see that instead of a cafeteria, there was a café! Instead of an assembly line of grimy lima beans and frozen corn, there were posh muffins, coffee machines, salad and sandwich bars. The back wall was taken up by a cool looking stage Everything looked so modern!
This looks expensive.
Max looked around her and groaned, "There's no pizza bar this year! How the heck am I supposed to go two whole months without pizza?"
"Oh get your salad with blue cheese dressing and bacon and stop being such a drama queen," said Bea, sounding annoyed, "It's not like they don't have blueberry smoothies at the drink bar anymore."
"Actually girls," said the drink-mixer lady, "We don't have blueberry smoothies this month. We have pinapple-mango smoothies though."
The twins wined and complained miserably and Lilly and I ordered one of those. We sat down at one of the tables and chatted as we ate. The smoothie was amazing, I don't know what the twins were so upset about.
It was really weird how they whined over the simplest little things. For mom and I, it was a treat to go out for pizza once every two months. I never got real fruit smoothies like this, they were the cheap ones from the dollar store.
So this is how the other half lives, I thought to myself.
"Okay guys!" said Keith, standing on the stage with a microphone in his hand, "Now that everyone is settled in, how was your first day?"
Everyone cheered and hollered.
"All right! We've got a few things planned to keep you all busy," he continued, "Tomorrow we'll be starting our music studies class, instrumental studies, specialized piano and guitar, and voice classes. Remember guys, it is mandatory for you to take at least one of these classes. Tonight we are going to have our fireworks show- which is going to be absolutely fantastic this year by the way, to kick off the camp!"
Keith dismissed us and the entire camp flooded to the lake.
The lake itself was about the size of a football field and was surrounded by forest. Most of the kids went to the left bank where the kayaks were next to the shack and they went out onto the lake to watch the fireworks show. My bunkmates and I went over to the other side where there was a pretty little gazebo next to a giant weeping willow.
When the show started, we all stretched out on the soft, mossy ground and watched the fireworks light up the skies with their colorful, energetic blasts. The colors reflected against the water and made everything seems to radiate even brighter.
After it was over, we all cheered and started heading to our cabins.
I went to bed feeling excited and happy that I'd come.
The next two days were a lot of fun.
Max and Bea were hilarious and I became close friends with both of them. Their parents were both retired musicians and owned a chain of high-end recording studios Chicago. They were instrumental prodigies and they passed on their gifts to their daughters.
Even though the twins were great, I really felt a strong connection with Lilly. We loved all the same bands and all the same styles and I found out that she was from New York. Her mom owned a restaurant and her father was a DJ for a few of the clubs.
