Ferrior's POV
It was Thursday, the day before the dance.
I didn't see the girls at all yesterday afternoon because they were off dress shopping.
This was my last chance to ask Willy to the dance before it was too late. I was already cutting it close and I was lucky that she hasn't said yes to anyone yet (or so I thought). It was do or die time.
I wanted to ask her sooner. I really did, but I would always get cold feet or something or someone or would always get in the way whenever I finally got the courage to ask and then I would chicken out last minute. I had the absolute worst luck on the face of the planet.
I sat down at lunch and I was freaking out.
What if I mess up? What if I do something really stupid? What if something happens like before? What if- No! Focus! Stay cool! Everything is going to be ok-
"Hey Ferrior!" she greeted, setting her tray down next to mine. Her beautiful hair was a waterfall of sunshine cascading over her shoulders and down to the small of her back. She was wearing jean short-shorts with a pair of brown boots and layered lime green and turquoise tank tops. She looked amazing.
"Hey Wills!" I greeted back, wiping my sweaty palms on my jeans. I hoped that I didn't look nervous.
Ask her you fool! yelled a voice that sounded like a passionate Italian lover in my head. Where did that come from?!
No! Not now, I argued back, ignoring the strangeness of the voice that had popped up in my head, I'm going to ask her when we are alone. I'm going to pull her aside after lunch.
I sat through lunch and we talked like we usually did but she kept bringing the topic back to the dance.
She was hinting at it and she wasn't being very desecrate about it either which made me smile. Only a blind and deaf person wouldn't be able to figure that out and I wasn't either of those so I thought it was safe to say that she wanted me to ask her.
I just smiled and waited my way through it until lunch was dismissed. The thing is, as I went to pull her aside, she wasn't there. She had been wisked away by the impenetrable current of teens funnelling out of the Mess Hall.
I mentally cursed at my bad luck and I decided that it was time to go with plan G.
Yeah, I was on plan G. Plans A through F all failed miserably. I don't think I have to go into that too much.
Please work plan G!!
Willy's POV
"AAAHRG!!"
I was freaking out and ranting to Lilly.
Now, why was I freaking out? you ask.
I had been dropping hints for Ferrior all morning and he still hadn't asked me to the dance. I mean, I think I was pretty obvious!
"I mean, what was the whole thing in the nursery?" I continued ranting angrily, "He seemed to have feelings for me then. Why isn't he acting on them?! WHY?! I've left him enough hints and gave him plenty of chances to ask me!"
