Willy's POV

I sat there next at Ferrior's bedside in the makeshift nurse's office. They had set up cots for him and Chris and two of the other girls after the whole hypothermia incident and I haven't slept since. I just sat there, drinking some tea as I waited for him to wake up.

When I saw Ferrior fall, my stomach dropped to the ground and my heart stopped beating. It had to be the most terrifying moment of my life. I started crying and I screamed for help. The thought of losing him made me want to vomit and I nearly did.

Keith came and lifted him off the ground. I was a little surprised that he was able to carry Ferrior like that because of how thin he was and he never seemed to muscular to me but I didn't question it because I felt like if I did he would suddenly lose his super strength. I ran beside them with an umbrella and the little bundle with Ferrior's rat inside of it.

Chris woke up within the first hour or so of coming to the nursery and the other girls were up and about within thirty minutes. Why hadn't Ferrior woken up yet? We were going on our fourth hour.

I pulled my legs up to my chest and wrapped my warm blanket around them, trying to get somewhat comfortable.

Keith walked in to check on him every spare minute he had to see if he'd woken up. He was as worried as I was, maybe even more. Thing is, he wasn't worried about him because he thought that his parents would sue the camp or something, he was personally afraid for Ferrior's wellbeing. Bethany would come to check on him too. Whenever she came in, she asked if I needed any more tea or something to eat and she would give me a hug and tell me that everything was going to be all right. She also sent for some of my bunkmates to bring me a change of clothes. Lilly brought me a new pair of pants and a shirt and some dry socks too, but so far I've only put on the socks.

I wanted him to wake up. I wanted to see his beautiful baby blue eyes that always lit up when he smiled. I wanted for him to be okay.

I heard Keith in the other room talking on the phone with some woman about Ferrior. I think it was his mother. She sounded very worried and upset. Who wouldn't be if their son had hypothermia and was passed out on a cot in a makeshift nursery?

I grabbed Ferrior's hand and held it tightly in mine. It was still a little cold so I warmed it up a little with mine.

I was so tired I didn't know what to think anymore. I was finally dry and the dirt was cleaned off of my face and hair but my clothes were still caked with grime and mud.

All of the classes were canceled because of the rain and the lake was sectioned off so no one was allowed down there. Andrea, Sarafina, and Tonya were going to be moved into the other cabins until their old cabin was fixed and Ferrior was going with Chris to one of the other boy's cabins. Apparently there were a couple of cabins that only had one or two people in them for some reason.

At least he was going to when he woke up.

What if he never wakes up? I wondered, What then?
