Hello All!!

Thanks so much for all the reads!!! It's really awesome to see that people actually read my stories. I'm over 500 reads!! FANOMINAL!!! I'll keep writing if you keep reading!!!

I was thinking about writing a new story, it might be a sequal to this, might not, but I really like this story and stuff and I was thinking about having them in school together or something of the sort. I don't know, I'll figure it out but please leave any suggestions or ideas that you might have! It would be a huge help!!

Willy's POV

I twiddled with the hem of my Jean skirt and adjusted my red-and-white-striped t-shirt. My red converse were the only thing that made me feel solid and confident, the skirt felt too short even though it wasn't, my shirt felt strange, even though it was mine. I couldn't understand why I was so nervous about hanging out with Ferrior. I mean, we were just going to hang out in the music room... right?

Lilly saw my fidgeting and forced me to sit still. "You really need to just chill," she put some lip gloss on my lips, applied some mascara and fixed my hair with a clip. She wanted to put on some eyeliner, but that was where I stopped her. I saved eyeliner for only the most special occasions.

I inspected myself in the mirror for a moment before taking the clip out of my hair and smoothing it out with my fingers. Perfect!

Satisfied with how I looked, I started leafing through my journal distractedly. I'd been working for the past couple of days to put down some ideas for song lyrics. There were a couple that seemed cool but I couldn't figure out a tune or melody for any of them. It annoyed me to no end.

I jumped when I heard a knock at the door and I hit my head on the metal bottom of Lilly's bed with a painful thump.

"OW!" I yelled, holding the newly sore spot on my head, "Be right there!"

"Ooh," Lilly winced, "That had to hurt. Are you okay?"

"I'm alright," I got up out of bed, being careful to avoid hitting my head again.

I got the door to find Ferrior waiting with a smile on his face. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with jean shorts and his black converse sneakers. It was almost kind of weird seeing him in blue instead of purple and black, but it was a really nice change. The blue in his shirt made his eyes sparkle more than usual and made his lightly-tanned skin glow.

"Hey Willy!" Ferrior greeted cheerfully.

"Hey Ferrior!" I greeted.

"Ready to go?"

"Yup!" I grabbed my guitar from beside the door and my journal with the willow tree on it from my desk. I gave Lilly a goodbye hug before heading out.

"Chill out!" she whispered in my ear, making me smile.

"As chill as a pop-sickle!" I whispered back.

We left the cabin and we started making our way towards the music room. The ground was just beginning to dry up so it wasn't as treacherously slippery as before, but it was still muddy and soon my shoes were caked with dirt just like the rest of my shoes. Ferrior insisted on carrying my guitar the entire way there. I tried to argue with him, but he was just as stubborn as I was. I gave up after a couple of minutes and just let him carry it.

"I've started trying to write some lyrics and stuff down for a song, but I just can't think about a tune to go to it," I said, looking through my journal.

"We'll be able to figure something out once we get to the Music Room," he assured, "Music writing takes practice. You'll get it eventually."

"Have you started working on your song yet?"

"Actually, I'm almost done."

"Already?" I was really surprised, "Can I hear it?"

"Sorry," he smiled, "It's going to be a surprise."

"Oh. Okay then."

We arrived at the Music Room and headed onto the stage. Ferrior had set up another bench next to the piano so that I could sit down next to him. Once I was all set up, we started looking over my lyrics and trying to match them up with a melody.

"See the far inside the close,

See the life inside the ghost,

See the fear inside the brave,

See goliath inside Dave-id." I muttered, and started humming quietly.

Suddenly Ferrior struck a chord on the piano and started singing, "See the far inside the close..."

His voice was soft and sweet but strong and pulled me in from the first second that I heard it. It was truly enchanting.

"See the life inside the ghost," I sang back, mimicking his voice.

"See the fear inside the brave..." he continued.

"See goliath inside Dave-id..." I paused and looked at him smiling.

He smiled back at me.

Then an idea popped into my head. I chose a simple chord pattern and started playing my guitar as I sang,

"Pick up the pieces, that one's not right!

Turn it around and see it's your life.

Collect all the pieces and blow off the dust,

Open your eyes and see the puzzles all around us."

I stopped playing and started laughing excitedly. I couldn't believe it! That actually sounded really cool!

"I liked that!" Ferrior smiled, "I didn't see that last part on the paper..."

"That's because I improv'ed!" I exclaimed happily and started scribbling it all down as quickly as I could, "Hopefully I don't forget it all before I can write it down!!"

He laughed and helped me remember the last parts of my improv. I couldn't believe that I was actually writing a song! It was incredible how easily things just came together when I was with Ferrior. Coincidence? I think not!

We played and worked a little more on my song for a while. I decided to call it "Puzzles Around Us" and it sounded really cool. We finished another verse and added a Pre-Chorus for some variation. Ferrior said that I still needed a Bridge.

A Bridge is the part of the song that's different from the rest and almost every song has one. It can be a variation of the chorus, a verse that is played differently, or just an interlude in the song. Depending on who wrote the song, the Bridge can be anything.

I decided that I was going to wait to figure out a bridge until later because my writing spark had run out and my brain was just about fried.

"Have you written anything other than your composition recently?" I asked.

"Actually, yeah I have," he said, looking through his journal, "There's this one song that I wrote a couple weeks ago that I think you might like."

He turned around in his seat and began playing.
