Ferrior's POV
I pulled away from Willy and held her by her shoulders, smiling from ear to ear, "God I'm glad to see you!"
"Happy to see you too Ferrior!" she replied with a smile.
Dear Lord, I love it when she smiles. Willy's smile makes my heart race and slam against the walls of my rib cage like it wants to explode out of my chest.
Her wet hair was sticking to her face and she was covered in coppery brown mud. There was a small scratch on her cheek and a streak of dirt across her nose and forehead yet at that moment she was more beautiful than all of the angels in heaven.
I grabbed the bundle of blankets containing Styx off of my bed and ran over to help Chris get up. He was extremely stiff, his face was a near-terrifying blue and he was shivering like a maniac. He looked like a human popsickle.
"He's going into hypothermia!" Lilly cried, rushing to his side and pulling off her jacket.
"Grab some more blankets!" Andrea rushed to find more dry comforters off of the beds but Lilly stopped her.
"If he gets warmed up too quickly, the shock could cause his heart to stop," she explained, "We have to thaw him out gradually- like how you can't put hot water on frozen pottery or else it will shatter."
As she wrapped her arms around him, Chris's cheeks flushed bright pink. I had never seen him act that way in front of any of his other girlfriends and it was actually a bit funny.
He has to be enjoying this attention to some degree, I thought to myself amusedly, trying not to smile or laugh out loud because of the current situation.
Chris leaned heavily against her as they stood up and nearly fell but she held on to him. Andrea picked up Lilly's jacket and wrapped the two of them with a blanket. She took some of the weight off of Lilly and they began to make their way towards the door.
Willy handed me a blanket but I refused it, "Chris needs it more than I do."
"Ferrior, I know you're cold. Put it on."
"Willy I'm fine!"
Then something snapped...
"Ferrior Grace I am not having this argument with you right now!!" she shouted impatiently, shoving the blanket into my arms, "Take. The. Freaking. Blanket. NOW. Seriously! Stop acting like you're all manly and noble and all that crap! For the love of God! Your face is nearly blue and you're shaking yourself to pieces and you will NOT freeze your little behind to death out there. Understand?!"
I had the blanket around my shoulders before she could say another word. I can honestly say that that was pretty scary and I am not ashamed to say that.
Note to self, I thought, Don't get her really pissed off ever again.
After everyone was ready, we began making our way towards the leaders' cabin through the relentless wind and rain.
Every single small hill or incline became a slide of mud and clay that was nearly impossible to walk up. My body shook and fumbled with every step I attempted. I fell a lot and soon I was coated from head to toe in mud. All of the adrenaline that I had been running on was gone and the exhaustion hit me like a train.
I gasped and stumbled forward, having trouble finding my footing.
"Ferrior! Are you okay?" Willy asked, with a worried look on her face.
I shook my head and she wrapped my arm around her shoulders as we went up the slippery incline. I felt a lot better having her there to stabilize me.
Styx squeaked angrily as he was bumped around. I tucked him underneath my free arm and carried him like a football, close to my body. I could feel him getting antsy.
As we reached the middle of the camp, we heard voices and lights shining through the haze. The girls called out to them and the voices and lights came closer.
My knees were weak and shaky and my head was starting to spin. My stomach felt like it was doing backflips and my limbs turned to lead. Suddenly all of the strength that I had left disappeared and I collapsed to the muddy ground.
I didn't have any energy left. I couldn't fight it anymore. It took so much effort to even take in air to fill my deprived lungs.
I heard Willy scream my name in alarm and lean over me, holding my freezing face with her slightly warmer hands and calling out for help. I couldn't feel her. It was like my skin had just stopped working.
Then I saw Keith, fear and urgency written all over his face as he lifted me off the ground. I couldn't feel him either. Everything just felt fuzzy or painful.
"Hang in there man!" he grunted.
I saw Andrea grab the muddy blanket from the ground and wrap it around me the best that she could. She looked really scared and worried. Her curly hair was plastered to her head and sticking to her cheeks.
I couldn't feel anything anymore. I felt like I was only half there and the other half of me was somewhere else, my mind was working but my body was powerless. I was fighting with all of my might to stay awake but I couldn't keep a grasp on my consciousness.
I tried to blink the hazy sleep from my vision but as I closed my eyes, they to open again. Without knowing it, I drifted off into a really deep sleep.
Then I saw Willy. She was sitting by the lake with her guitar wearing her long brown skirt and green tank top. She had a smile on her beautiful face and she was singing to me. Suddenly, I heard someone yelling and I was yanked back into reality. My eyes opened again and I was thrust back in the storm.
"Get some dry blankets and towels!!" shouted Bethany.
I saw Willy running next to us with a yellow and orange- striped umbrella in her hand as I was being rushed to some mysterious location. The rain beat down on her ruthlessly but she didn't seem to notice. She was crying, tears cascading from her beautiful, dark blue eyes and slicing through the dirt smeared across her face. I wished that I could speak to her, give her a comforting hug and say that everything was going to turn out just fine. I didn't ever want to see her cry. I wished that I could provide some shelter for her from the rain, but I couldn't. I couldn't move. I was so sorry for that.
My eyes shut once more and as I began to drift off I heard someone whisper something to me.
"Don't worry Ferrior..." the voice beckoned, "You're safe now... Just rest..."
I've never really believed in Heaven or God, but at that moment I knew that there had to be someone up there, someone looking down on me, because I knew that I'd heard an angel.

And that's all for now!!
Will Ferrior and Chris be okay? Will Chris finally tell Lilly that he's crazy about her? Am I being totally obnoxious right now? I believe the answer is yes for that last one but for the others, you'll have to wait and see! :D
Stay tuned for next chapter!! =D
