⌛ :: [ FIRST OF JULY ]

Besides to being disturbed by the sun's glaring rays coming through the window opposing their room, Sol was awakened by a few gentle pressures on the surface of her face.

Brent hailed her with a bright "Good morning, my sunshine!" and handed over the warmth she only needed in the early hours of the day.

Days and mornings don't always look like this. On moment, Sol wakes up without Brent by her bedside, but he never fails to make her breakfast and write her handwritten letters before he flees for the law firm. If there is inadequate time to pen a letter, he merely messages her to say goodbye.

When Brent revealed to Sol that it had taken him three years to get his first-level common law degree in Canada, Sol was truly taken aback. How did he learn about law? He spent several years in Canada after undergoing surgery, where he wanted to study after recuperating. That's why Brianna periodically addresses him as Attorney; Sol supposed it was an idle nickname.

She was mistaken when she presumed that her boyfriend's course involved culinary. Due to his constant presence at their family's restaurant, cooking was only Brent's hobby. Since his parents are often busy, he usually handles it. At first, he complained that he was unaware of how to cook as he was concentrated more on munching, but soon... To that, he adapted. He picked up how to maneuver knives, engage in combat with hot oil, and wash dishes after they were used.

Through generating revenue while working under bounds, Brent was able to acquire Sol her own art gallery, reestablish the house they had previously lived in, and lavish her girlfriend with a ton of things that she had hardly ever received before.

When Brent glimpsed Sol lifting her eyes and latching into his, he questioned. "Punta tayo ng art gallery mo ngayon? Gusto mo?"

"Wala ka bang work today?" Sol rubbed her eyes using her closed fist. "It's my rest day, Sol!" he responded.

As the top of Sol's head was given a kiss by Brent, who then tightened his loving embraces and pointed out, "And you know... that my rest days are always spent with you,"

Sol pouted, then sighed. "Kaya lang... Medyo magulo pa 'yung art gallery ko since nagpapatulong pa lang ako maglipat kila Amber at Brianna ng mga gamit. But the latest paintings are already hanging on the walls na!"

"I can help you clean up a bit when we get there, my sunshine!" Brent uttered and winked at me. "Hassle, next time na lang. Masakit din kasi ang likod ko... Pupunta na lang tayo today para makita mo 'yung bagong na-paint kong snow rivals!"

Brent smiled and helped Sol to rise from the bed. "Before that, kumain muna tayo ng breakfast. Nagluto ako ng tofu tinola, you'll like it! Promise!"

"May yogurt ba tayo, Brent?"

"What did you just called me? Brent? Wow, sounds like hindi mo na yata ako mahal..." he rolled his eyes.

Sol slightly hit Brent's arms. "I just slipped, 'to naman! Pero 'di nga? May yogurt pa ba? Gusto ko kasing kumain muna no'n before having a meal..."

"I'm not sure if there's any, but I'll look in our fridge. Baba na tayo para kumain. Tutal hindi naman tayo kumain kagabi," upon putting together the bed between the two of them and shaking it off somewhat, Brent remarked that he was going to sterilize it after Sol was out under the sheets.

Sol abruptly rode Brent's back and made him laugh. "Let's eat together na, nomnomnom!" Brent grips her hands so she fails to tumble. "You're so cute, let's go eat. Cling tight onto my shoulders, you could fall down the flight of stairs,"
