George's POV

I spent the whole night thinking about how I'd say sorry to Dream as I tossed and turned. The next morning, I woke up smiling, because I had an idea and also because it was my birthday soon.

(For the readers, today was 18th November, and on the 19th was my birthday. And just to get it straight, the dumbass, Wilbur, actually got drunk the very day he was discharged. Don't feel bad if you were confused because the author had to check her notes on the birthdays; she actually forgot the details of her own story. Wait, did I just break the fourth wall?)

I was about to open my door when someone knocked on it. "Who is it?" I said as I opened the door. Then I was staring at Dream, who was nervously fidgeting with his shirt. "Oh... Dream."

"C-Can I come in?" Dream asked quietly. "I want to t-talk." "I was actually about to go find you, so OK. Come in," I let Dream in and shut the door. We sat on the edge of my bed.

"I want to say sorry," I blurted after a few moments of awkward silence. "Wait, what? No, I should be saying sorry-"

"Let me finish," I interrupted and went on. "I lost my temper and lashed out. I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry. Now you can continue."

Dream exhaled shakily. "OK... please don't overreact or anything. But I-"

"You lied to me," I finished. Dream froze. "How did you know?" he whispered.

"Quackity accidentally helped me remember," I shrugged then arranged my face to a serious one. "You tried to pull my pants off, didn't you?"

Dream stayed silent and simply stared his hands twisting nervously in his lap.

"Look at me, Dream," I said gently, taking one of his hands. "I-I'm s-sorry," he broke down, sobbing silently.

"Don't cry," I put an arm around his shoulder and pulled him close to me as he gradually calmed down. "Just tell me why you did it."

"I-" Dream said, and I could see that he was reluctant to answer and was trying to find an excuse. "I was drunk, I guess."

I nodded, pretending to believe that lie. He would tell me in due time.

"I forgive you this one time. If you do it again..." I trailed off, not wanting to say it aloud.

Dream nodded, mumbling, "Sorry, sorry, sorry," over and over again.

We stayed in that position for a few minutes before heading down to breakfast.
