4. The Job

Loviana's POV

I sat down on the table with a cup of coffee. I sipped on my coffee, and it burnt my tongue. I hissed in pain as I kept my cup of coffee down. And put my tongue out and fanned it with my hands. I heard the keys jiggles and the door swung open. I pulled my tongue back into my mouth. I have been a bit mindless since that day. 5 days ago. Obviously I was in a dire need of a job but to think I would lose it before I was even hired. Tsk! I'm so fucked.

Sky walked in closing the door with her foot and removed the knot of the coat revealing her stunning body to my eyes. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I always wondered why I never had such a great body. But I had a interesting theory for it.

There are two kinds of people in this world, my dear Loviana

  - the ones who obsessed with beauty
  - and the ones who love food.

Sky was somewhere in the middle but because of her job she has to be on the other end of the spectrum than me.  Sky had to go through strict diet and workouts to maintain that body. Whereas I on the other hand loved food as a result I was a bit on the chubby side. But not that I hated myself. I just wished I was better.

"I need a shower." She turned to me and caught me checking her out.

"You can join me if you want." She teased.

"Nah! I'm good." I said waving her off.

I picked up my coffee cup and sipped on it. I was in a need to look for a new job. I might as well ask James if there are anyother clients for this month. Usually our contracts lasted for 3-6 months so if I don't get this one I have either work as a replacement for other guides during their absence or probably sit idle and wait for a new client.

My thoughts drifted to the little incident. It had been 5 days since and it still cringed me. I should have probably told him as soon as I entered his suite that I was there for the interview. But no. I had to hit my employer in his balls and lose the job. But it wasn't my fault. He was the one who was so desperate that he didn't even bother to hear me.

What happened, has already happened. Move on.

A tiny voice in my head spoke.

A few minutes later my phone rang and it was Mr Blake.

Is he going to fire me. He did warn me that he wouldn't let me find any job.

I shaked my thoughts away and picked up.

"Good morning sir." I greeted.

"Good morning, Loviana." He replied in a warm tone.

It doesn't seem that bad of a situation.

"I called to inform you that I have talked to Mr Reiss about your job and he agreed to give you the job but he said he has some terms to be fulfilled ."

I couldn't hide the surprise in my voice when I squealed with happiness "Thats great. Thank you so much sir."  I was beyond grateful to him.

"I know how much you need this job. Thats why I tried talking Mr.Reiss into getting you the job. By the way he asked you to meet him in his office tomorrow at 10." He informed.

"Yeah. Sure sir. I will do my best." I promised.

He let out a chuckle and said "See you."

"Have a nice day sir."

I squealed in happiness when Sky walked out of the shower. I threw myself in her arms.

"Mr Blake talked to Mr Reiss and he asked me to meet him tomorrow. I might get the job."
