I stood infront of the building almost touching the sky. I tried looking at the top of it but decided against it as I would break my neck. In big black letters on that grey wall of the building was written the words-
'REISS ENTERPRISES'
I walked through the entrance into the building and at reception was a pretty blonde touching up her lips with a dark red shade while looking at her phone. I walked upto her and passed a smile and she rolled her eyes.
Rude.
"Excuse me. I was asked to meet Mr.Reiss." I stated keeping my hand holding the file on the reception desk.
She groaned before turned her gaze from the phone in her hand to me and she slammed the lipstick in her other hand on the table and was about to make a snarky comment, I suppose when she jerked up and stood up from her chair. The dark red lipstick rolled over from her desk and fell down but she didn't seem to care about it at the moment.
"Good morning, Mr Reiss" she greeted with a bright smile which she hid for such key occasions.
I froze when I felt a presence behind me. I instinctively turned on my heel and a hard chest almost hit my face. I immediately stepped back pressing my back into the reception desk. I almost forgot to breath when I raised my eyes only to meet with his ocean blue ones which were already set on me. I searched for any anger lurking in them but they seemed calm. Like the eerie calm before the storm. My eyes drifted to his lips as his did the same to mine. His lips held my gaze for awhile before some rationality kicked into me when I realised the corner of his lip was upturned to a smirk. I stepped back further trying to create some space to breath, the edge of the desk digging into my back. All my goals of creating space between us faded when he took a step further and placed his hands on the desk trapping me between his arms, his body and the desk. I instantly dropped my gaze when his smirk grew on his face.
Oh how I would love to wipe that smirk off his face.
I just hoped he would back off. It wasn't any good that I was being affected by him in this way. He stared at me for a good moments before he leaned closer.
Uh! Not again
But I was getting distracted by the fact that the top two buttons of his shirt were undone giving me a peek of his muscular chest. He further leaned closer and my nose almost touched his chest. I panicked when he leaned closer and I instead of holding my breath I took a deep breath in an attempt to calm myself but only to take in his scent. His musky cologne mixed with his masculine scent was clouding my senses.
Was it soap? Whatever. He smells good.
I heard a paper being shuffled through some files and papers behind me and I was grateful since it was bringing me back to reality and how I didn't want anything but to stay away from him. He stood their in the same place for a minute or two before the receptionist handed him some papers. Then he backed off. I let out the breath of his scent that I didn't realise I was holding.
Does he not know what personal space is? This is like the second time.
As if he read my mind, he snapped his gaze to me and held it for a moment before turned to the receptionist and ordered "Send this lady to my office." His british accent was prominent in his voice but there were traces of american accent too. And with that he walked away. I just stood there staring at his retreating figure.

As I reached what I suppose was the top floor of the office, and made my way out of the elevator, I spotted a lady sitting in a glass cabin probably the secretary in her office. There
was a small black couch in the right of her cabin. And to the left of her cabin was a door which probably led to Mr. Reiss's office. There was another passage between the secretary cabin and the boss's office. And it led to a white door.
