Y/N POV

The next day was complicated, to say the least.

It took an exhausting amount of effort to break up the fight between Garreth and Sebastian after he had tried to forcibly return me to castle when he found us in the Quidditch pitch. I had never seen either of them so furious and it had scared the breath out of me when it seemed like Garreth was ready to pound Sebastian into a bloody pulp. Once I was able to finally convince him to cool down the tiniest bit, he let off with a wild yell into the air and ushered me himself back inside with Sebastian wheezing the entire way behind us in silence.

I left the two at the bottom of the Ravenclaw Tower steps, keeping my eyes glued to them as long as I could upon my ascension and making them both promise me they would quietly return to their common rooms without further conflict.

I couldn't help but to feel guilty that I had ruined yet another childhood friendship somehow and it was near impossible to sleep, especially with the throbbing bruises Sebastian had left behind in his rage.

I woke up the next morning to Samantha perched on the side of my bed once again, this time bouncing the two of us up and down on my mattress.

"Sam, Sam!" I gurgled at her. "What in Merlin's name has gotten into you this time?"

"THIS!" She squealed excitedly with Garreth's Gryffindor robe balled up in her hands. I had left it draped over the footboard of my bed just before I flung myself into the pillows last night. "You little minx! I'm jealous - absolutely, positively jealous! You've spent two nights with two different handsome boys that aren't even your actual boyfriend!"

"Ugh, quiet down, it's.. it's not exactly like that." I groaned and rolled away from her, tucking my head under the covers. "Please don't go around telling anyone about it either or I'll make sure you wake up everyday with a thousand spiders crawling all over you."

"Oh no, mum's the word Y/N, I swear it." She giggled. "As long as you start sharing some of the intimate details!"

Details? What intimate details could I even share? The phantom ones I had within someone else's memory that didn't even involve the two boys she was accusing me of fooling around with?

Both times being cut off right at the climax and despite the macabre scenarios it left my own physical body craving and unsatisfied, so much that last night I was considering throwing myself at a dear friend in the middle of a playing field!

"Fine, fine.." I sat up in bed and spun her the most sugar coated tale of the truth about both nights I spent away with the boys as much as I could without making it up which thankfully was enough to satiate Samantha's hunger for tantalizing gossip.

The two of us made our way to the main common room after getting dressed where the visiting students of Beauxbatons had completely taken over the house of Ravenclaw. It seemed like every single housemate of mine was packed into the room, surrounding them as they sat poised perfectly on the biggest couch and answering a barrage of questions that were being shot their way.

The one girl Garreth had mentioned, Genevieve Rosier, piqued my interest the most. She was positively radiant in both appearance and demeanor - everything I had always imagined a native French girl to be and I had an inkling that she was the one that the Goblet of Fire would be choosing as Beauxbatons' champion.

I want to speak with her, but I'll wait for the excitement of their arrival to calm down so we can have a proper conversation in peace. I had thought to myself just before she stood up and the crowd parted for her as she made her way over to Samantha and I who were about to leave with the other two French girls following close behind her.
