My small wound turned out to be a gash just above my ankle, but it was nonetheless healed. All of the Magic Knights that were wounded and needed any kind of medical care were ordered to take a room at headquarters for the night in case more arose from our injuries. The last thing they wanted was for their Knights to be riddled with plague, curses, or spells pertaining to them. And since the exact origin of mine was unknown to me, they especially wanted me to stay.

But it wasn't just the Knights who were wounded who were ordered to stay at headquarters. Everyone was, because they wanted to hold another smaller decoration ceremony to promote those who helped with the attack since some of us were still fifth-class Junior Knights. My body shivered with excitement at the thought that I might get promoted. Even Charmy had appeared out of nowhere, having captured an enemy in her cotton magic, so I'd imagined they would most definitely promote her too.

With my wound healed and a protective spell put on it for the next day until we were sure there would be no adverse effects, I was given a key to a room. As I walked past the various doors and through many long hallways, feeling different amounts of mana from each, I stopped at the room number that was assigned to me. The Wizard King also found me as I was getting healed and explained that this room would be permanently assigned to me since he wanted me to frequently come to the capital for diplomatic missions that involved other squads and discussing small missions regarding our bordering towns and countries.

I jiggled the key into the slot, turned, and heard a click. When I opened the door, I was met with a gorgeous room. On the back wall was a large window that covered most of the surface area, allowing the dim light of the evening to seep through and light the dark-themed room. A light rain tapped on the window. Is it because I usually live in a dark and brooding hideout? Hah...

As I walked past the small hallway marking the entrance of my new personal quarters, my eyes fell on a large, wide bed with grey sheets and many black and white throw pillows. On each side was a nightstand with a lantern-style light that provided a warm hue. Across from the bed was a dresser and a desk where I could keep anything important that I needed here if I so desired. Between the two was a simple, dark-stained wooden chair with no arm rests. Also across from the bed was a door. When I opened it, my jaw dropped. It was an exquisite bathroom, with a luxurious shower-bath feature with clear walls and a door. Resting inside were some lush-looking products and a few stark-white towels. Hanging up beside the door was a black silk robe.

Before I did anything else, I ripped off my clothes, making sure to hang up my Black Bulls robe so it didn't get any more filthy than it already was. It was definitely due for a wash. I tossed everything else into a hamper with a lid and donned the soft, lavish robe, pulling the string tightly before tying a knot to secure it. I looked at myself in the mirror, taking note of how the apparel hugged my skin in all the right places and were looser in others. A small bit of my cleavage showed, but it was just barely. I then secured my long, purple hair into an intricate messy bun before reaching out to look at the products I was provided with. But before I could, there was a knock at the door.

The sound startled me, but as it registered, I panicked a bit. I was most indecent, but my robe was long enough to extend just above my knees, so I shrugged and pulled it tighter to cover the rest of my breasts. Who knows- it could be the Wizard King knocking.

As I approached the door, whoever was waiting on the other side knocked again. As I turned the knob, I sensed a familiar mana. Opening it only confirmed my prediction. Out of all the people who could have been knocking at my door, why did it have to be him?

Before me stood Captain Nozel Silva, who looked down at me with a cold gaze yet again. His arms were at his sides. "May I enter?"

I squinted my eyes at him. "Um..." I began, unsure of what to think of the beginning of this encounter. "Excuse me for asking, but why? I'm not very decent..."
