I sighed as I walked into Julius' quarters. It felt weird. I called this room home for almost three years. And suddenly, out of the blue, it wasn't. That was of course due to my own decisions but still. When I walked through the door, Julius addressed me like I never left and nothing changed.

"Oh, there you are! I was getting worried," he began, not looking up from his desk as he held a familiar piece of parchment. "I wanted to ask you about something. What did you mean when-" He froze when he finally looked at me. The blonde man's gaze wavered and he set down the paper to approach me, expression darkening. "You were with him."

"And? What of it?" I inquired defensively, crossing my arms.

He did the same. "I told you I didn't want you seeing either of them."

"And I decided that was some bullshit. You can't tell me who I can and can't see," I glared.

Julius glared back, but he took a few steps forward and put his hands on my shoulders. "Tch," he scoffed, fully knowing that I was right. "But why is he on you? Why was he touching you?"

I rolled my eyes and took his arms off of me. "Does it matter?"

"It does if you slept with him."

Turning away I smirked, remembering how Nozel joked with me a little earlier. "As a matter of fact I did."

His mana flared something fierce. Most likely, the entirety of Headquarters felt it. I had no doubt that Nozel was having a field day in his room. "What?!"

I looked back at him. "Yes. We took a nap together."

Now he just looked angry. "What the hell? Why? Did you have sex?"

"No Julius, we didn't have sex. It was a long day. I saw him this morning before I left to visit home and my parents' grave and he offered to spend time with me if I needed to unwind. I decided on my way home to oblige him," I explained, watching his expression relax just a little. "I was tired and I fell asleep on him. That's why he's "on" me."

He simply tapped his foot furiously and looked at the floor. "You couldn't have done that with me?"

"Julius, it's nice to spend time with others. Especially when they can relate."

"But I can relate! I don't have my parents either! I don't even remember them!"

"But that's exactly it, Julius!" I exclaimed, "You don't know what it's like to have to attend the funeral for your parents. We do. Hell, I'm sure William even does! That's why I chose to see him."

He sighed. "I'm... Sorry. I just really don't like it when I know you've been with one of them."

"Meaning you're insanely jealous."

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Yes. I'm insanely jealous."

I was surprised that he was admitting such a thing, but I was glad to see that he was trying, even if his mannerisms were annoying. "I told you that I would try to mend us. Is that not enough?"

Julius sighed once more. "No, it is. I'm sorry."

"Anyway... What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Oh!" he exclaimed, suddenly changing his tune. I was glad that the conversation was over, and that he hadn't noticed the little bracelet I was given yet. He walked back over to his desk and picked up the parchment he held when I came back. "Do you remember this?"

"Of course. Writing that letter was the last thing I remember before everything gets fuzzy," I told, grabbing the page and feeling its thick texture between my fingers. I reread the words and refreshed my memory like I had only written them yesterday.
