2. Falling in Love?

Siddhant's POV

Aarav and I went to our hostel room and freshened up. We reached the auditorium 5 minutes late. The orientation had already begun. I was listening to all the speeches attentively whereas my bestfriend was already yawning.

As we were getting out of the auditorium, I saw her, again. She was standing with two of her friends. She was wearing a pink colour kurta with blue jeans. Her hair tied in a messy bun and her spectacles resting on her head. That's when I realised, she is in the same branch of engineering. That means I will get to see her everyday. I was smiling at my thoughts when Aarav called out my name.

"Bro, let's go to the canteen and eat first. Then we'll go back to our room." Aarav said and I nodded.

We made our way towards the canteen and had breakfast. While leaving, I saw her again and our eyes met hardly for 2 seconds but I looked away. Mostly girls break the eye contact first. But in our case, I was the shy one.

She left with her friends without a second glance. I kept staring at her disappearing figure. All of this didn't go unnoticed by Aarav and he asked, "So finally, Siddhant Mehra has been mesmerized by the charm of a girl? Who is she bro?" I glared at him but he looked at me as if he won't go without hearing my answer.

I sighed and replied, "I saw her at the airport today and her beautiful face was all I could think about today. Then I saw her again outside the auditorium and now here in the canteen. She's also an Aeronautics student."

"Beautiful face? I thought my bestfriend didn't believe in love and stuff." He said. Am I in love with her yet? No right?
"I'm not in love. Infact, love and all is silly. But that girl hasn't left my mind even once after our encounter at the airport. I never thought anyone would have such effect on me." I said.

"Exactly. This is just the beginning Sid. Eventually, you'll fall in love. Because a person falls in love with the most unexpected person in the most unexpected way." Aarav said as if he holds a degree in love and affairs. "And how do you know that? As per my knowledge, you've been single since forever."

"Yes, I've been single for a very long time but I read that in a book." He said and I nodded.

We went back to our room and started arranging our stuff. I am a cleanliness freak just like my mom. After everything was arranged we wished each other goodnight and decided to get some sleep as we have to wake up early in the morning for our lectures. I laid on my bed but as I closed my eyes, her face popped up infront of my eyes. She has the best and brightest smile I've ever seen. I can't wait to see her again............
