6. Girlfriend?

A week later

Siya's POV

It's been a week since our regular lectures have begin. As it's just the beginning, we have started with the basics. Honestly, I am enjoying my college life. It's almost perfect. I have made new friends too. But Raghav and Swati are the best people I've meet here. Just in the course of a week, they've become my family here.

After 2 days, we have our freshers party and right now, we're here at one of the famous malls in Chennai to buy dresses for the party.

"Which one?"
Swati asked me as she was holding 2 black dresses in her hands. To be honest, I hate shopping. But when Swati and Raghav showed me their cutest puppy eyes pleadingly, I couldn't say no. But wait, Swati has already selected a dress. Maybe she's still not sure about it.

"The off shoulder one. It will look good on you." I replied to her. The dress was pretty and it had sequins. The other one was good too but it was plain. Knowing Swati, she isn't a person who would settle for something too simple.
"But this is not for me. I've already chosen a dress for myself. Now, I'm searching a perfect dress for you. I know you're not interested in shopping so I'm doing this for you. So the sequin dress is final, right?" She said.

"Um I like the other one better."
" But Siya, isn't it too simple?" Swati asked while Raghav was just looking at us with a frown on his face. He was clearly bored.
"I love simple dresses." I told her and she nodded in agreement.

"Now if you're done, can we now go and buy something for me?" Raghav asked.
" Okay, let's go." I said and we made our way towards the Men's section.

Raghav tried out more than 7 different suits and didn't like any of them. People say girls spend hours while shopping but here, the case was opposite. Swati and I were done with our shopping in almost 20 minutes but our boy Raghav has been trying out the clothes since past 45 minutes.

After 10 more minutes Raghav chose the first suit that he tried on which made us groan in irritation while Raghav smiled at us sheepishly.

We paid the bill and left the shop. We roamed around in the mall, bought a few accessories and other stuff.

As we were leaving, someone called out my name. I turned around and saw Aarav standing there. He was waving at me. I smiled at him, waved back and made my way towards him.

"Hey Aarav, what's up?" I asked him and he immediately replied, "Actually I was here for shopping, what are you doing here?"
"We're here for shopping too. He is Raghav and she's Swati, my roommate."
Aarav side hugged Raghav and did the same with Swati too but she jerked him off.
"Don't touch me." She said in a stern voice.
"Why? Will you become unholy if I touch you?" Aarav said playfully which made me giggle but Swati glared at me.

"Are you here alone?" I asked attempting to change the topic.
"No, I'm not alone. I'm here with Sid and right now he's talking to his friend." He said pointing towards Siddhant. He was standing there with a girl who was holding his hand. She was giving him a flirty smile but Siddhant was standing there with a poker face. Does this man ever smile?

That girl said something to which he just nodded and she immediately hugged him but Siddhant didn't hug her back. She seems to be a very close friend. Or maybe his girlfriend. Maybe.

"I guess your friend is too busy. Anyways, we should leave now. It's 7pm already and we have to reach hostel before 7.30pm. See you around." I said politely and Aarav nodded.

"Okay, Bye. It was nice meeting you. Except you." He said hugging me and said the last line pointing towards Swati.
"The feelings are mutual." Swati said which made me laugh.

We made our way out of the mall and as we were walking towards the hostel, Raghav said, "Guys, I don't feel like going back. My roommate hasn't arrived yet and it's pretty boring to be alone. I don't have much friends there."
"Why don't you catch up with Aarav? I will give you his number. I'm sure he'll give you good company." I suggested.

Raghav's face lit up but Swati looked annoyed at the mention of his name.
"Okay give me his number."
I immediately shared Aarav's contact number with Raghav and we continued walking.

We reached our hostel room, freshened up and had our dinner. Swati was pissed off after the encounter with Aarav but all this while I was wondering, who was that girl with Siddhant?
