Sid's POV~

It's been two days since my birthday and I haven't heard from Siya. She didn't call me even for once nor did she text me.

I miss her.

I miss talking to her, going out with her and most importantly, spending time with her. I need her. But despite being vulnerable for her, I haven't reached out to her. I guess she's happy but the thought that she forgot me so soon is killing me from the inside.

I love her. But I guess she doesn't. And for that reason, I want to let this go off. I've decided to maintain distance from her because if I don't, I might lose myself, again.

After I came back that evening, Aarav and Raghav asked me about Siya but I shrugged it off saying I didn't have the guts to confess. I didn't tell them about her getting back with Kabir as it is her story to tell. From what I heard from Aarav, she hasn't told Swati yet. That's strange because Swati is always the first person to know if anything happens in Siya's life.

No matter how hard I try to shrug it off, the thoughts of Siya keep consuming me. I don't understand why she suddenly went back to Kabir. As far as I know, Siya despises lies. And despite getting cheated on by him, she went back to him. Why?

My thoughts were interrupted as the giant clock in the library struck 4pm. I've been spending most of my time in the library as I wanted to keep myself engaged in something.

I got up from my seat and began to pack my bag. As I was putting my things back inside my bag, I found the book 'Better Than The Movies' in my bag.

It was Siya's. I borrowed it from her to read. I remember how she kept giggling all the time while reading this book. A smile automatically formed on my face as I remembered Siya's smiling face but it vanished as fast as it had formed when reality hit me.

A small piece of paper that Siya used as a bookmark was peeking out from the pages of the book. I pulled it out and saw the text written on it.

"I love you, to the moon and back.

-And I love you beyond the stars."

And my thoughts went back to when she made this bookmark.

Flashback~

A day after the traditional day, we went back to the book cafe where we had visited on our first 'friendly date'.

Siya was craving their white cheese pasta and she wanted to sit there and read her favourite book. And I just wanted to spend time with her and watch her read her favourite book. But instead, we spent our time talking, laughing and giggling. She asked me to read poetry for her from a book written by Gulzar sahab and I gladly did that for her.

When the bill arrived, she snatched it from me and insisted on paying for us. She took the bill and wrote something on it and made some doodles and hearts.

"Hey, what are you writing on that bill?" I asked and tried to snatch it from her hands but she pulled it away and slapped my hand.

"Abhi nahi. I'll show it to you some other day," she said and smiled.

I smiled back at her and she kept that bill in her book.
