Siya’s POV

I don't know if anyone has ever said this but I would love to quote, ‘Nervousness is just excitement without courage.’
I was so damn excited to perform in the finale but now when I'm standing backstage, I feel like the last ounce of courage has left my body and anxiety and fear is all that is left behind. If my anxiety level would be competing against the Olympic sprinters, it would definitely bag medals.

My chain of thoughts broke as I glanced at my hand which was carefully held by Sid in his and then at him. He held my hand in order to not let me bite my nails out of anxiety. While I am having an overthinking marathon in my head, this man looks so calm.
I checked him out from top to bottom and I have to say, this man always slays!

We were performing a contemporary dance performance. After two hours of our shopping spree, we bought a satin pink coloured shirt paired with white pants for him and a flowy satin dress for me in the same colour.

Even though Sid agreed on participating in the finale, he was very protective and careful while practising. He changed all the complex steps to easier yet graceful ones.

Right now, he looks so handsome in the pink shirt with his hair set up properly that I just want to stare and admire him the whole day.

He’s just so perfect.

“Can you stop staring at me? I'm not uncomfortable but it's kinda creepy,” his words brought me back to my senses.

“Yeah, sorry,” I mumbled and he chuckled in return.

“Siya, can you relax for a bit and stop panicking?” He asked and I looked at him.

“I am not panicking, not at all,” I said trying to look confident even though I was shit scared. I don't want to embarrass both of us on the stage.

“Your hold on my hand speaks otherwise,” he said and I removed my hand from his only to find marks of my nails piercing into his skin.

“I’m sorry, I was just-” I began to say but he cut me off.

“It's okay. Look at me,” he said softly and I turned towards him.

He looked straight into my eyes but I, being shy, couldn't hold eye contact and looked down.

“I just don't want to embarrass ourselves in front of everyone,” I said and with his finger, he lifted my chin up making me look into his eyes. I don't feel butterflies anymore, I feel tornadoes in my stomach at his actions now.

“Everything will be alright Siya and I’m sure, we’ll do great,” he said with a smile.

“Pakka na?” I said and he patted my head assuringly.

I was lost in his dark grey orbs. His eyes make me forget all the worries and I find only peace in them.

Our sweet moment was disturbed by a familiar annoying voice.

“Look at her. Now she's gonna dance with a broken leg and embarrass herself in front of the entire college. Pehli jitni embarrassment hui utni kam nahi thi kya?” Kabir said, reminding me of the time when everyone in the college would give me stingy looks after the entire breakup fiasco.
