Chapter 65: Trap (2)

Daniel immediately stepped back for several meters, and he squinted up to see Luo Yi slowly sliding down the tree. Upon landing, the latter's face showed a rare look of pain.

"What's wrong?" Daniel stepped forward and asked, "Are you hurt somewhere?"

Luo Yi squatted on the sand with tears in his eyes, "It's okay... Damn, coconut trees really aren't for grown men to climb."

Daniel froze for a second before he realized what happened, and then he looked at Luo Yi's crotch with sympathy: "Do you want me to rub it for you?" (t/n: omg lololol )

"Go away." Luo Yi cursed with tears.

Daniel sat down beside him, put his arms around his shoulders and smiled comfortingly: "Don't feel bad. That's the Achilles' heel of all men, and even Superman is no exception-why else do you think he covers it every day with that pair of red underwear?"

Luo Yi scoffed and kicked the other with his legs, "Go cut up a coconut!"

The two had a full meal of coconut meat and coconut milk, and they pounded out some coconut oil and applied it to their skin to avoid sunburn and inflammation.

Daniel, who was lying in the shade of the tree canopy, muttered: "I still want to eat seafood and meat."

But he only received a few more unmerciful kicks, "Get up and help me build a shelter before it gets dark otherwise you'll sleep on the ground with the snakes, rats, and ants tonight."

Daniel had to get up and chop bamboos and pick some palm leaves.

They set up boards between sturdy branches about a meter above the sand, wove vines to hold it in place, and covered it with a bunch of smooth banana leaves then built a man-shaped roof made of palm leaves to protect them from the rain. They worked themselves until nightfall to complete their shelter.

By the time they finished, Luo Yi still had enough energy left to get some food, but Daniel was paralyzed with exhaustion, and he refused to move.

However, after a while, the unpredictable ocean weather sent large dense clouds over the island, and the rain poured down almost immediately. Luo Yi had to abandon his plans to build a fire as well as forage for food, and quickly built a rainwater collector with banana leaves. He then retreated into a small tree house.

The palm fronds were not perfect at keeping out the rain. A lot of rain water was dripping through its gap, and the wet clothes stuck upon the two men's skin, chilling their insides.

"Let's take off our wet clothes , or else we'll feel more cold." Daniel said in a horse voice through the dark, as he took off his long-sleeves and trousers.

Luo Yi hesitated for a few seconds before taking off his jacket as well.

And so, the two's skin inevitably made contact in such a small space. Daniel, who lying sideways, moved his arm over and placed it on the waist of the other man casually.

When he tried to touch the other further, he suddenly heard a low, warning voice in his ears: "You better keep those nasty thoughts on your head and not act on them. Otherwise, I'll throw you into the sea to feed the sharks! "

Daniel shook, retracting his arms unwillingly, "I know you are of the same kind as me." He then stretched his arm out again to touch Luo Yi "People like us have to face death everyday. My point is, if we're not sure whether we'd still be alive tomorrow, what is more important than having fun in the time being? Don't be so restrained, baby,"

He covered the soft and plump mass of the man's crotch with his entire palm through his underwear, and stroked it skillfully. When he felt some signs of it becoming stiffer, he secretly rejoiced in his heart and continued to seduce Luo Yi sweetly: "I promise I'll make you feel good... It doesn't matter if you don't want me to get in, I can help you lick it first..."

Just when he was about to dive into the thin piece of fabric, a hand suddenly grabbed his wrist, and twisted it with great strength. His wrist made a slight popping sound under the strong grip, and Daniel immediately cried in pain: "--Let it go! Let it go! I know, I'll stop so let me go!"

Daniel didn't doubt the firmness hidden in his understatement-if he continues to tease him recklessly, there would be one more delicious supper on the shark's menu tonight.

This realization killed his appetite in seizing dominance: the other man was not a weakling who could be manipulated

In fact, he had already realized this for a long time, but he couldn't help but be attracted by a certain breath emanating from this man.

He couldn't tell what "certain breath" it was, so he let his brain make random associations, and so, a poem he read by chance when he was a teenager suddenly leapt out of his memory: It's a story about a bird that loved a red flower with thorns, and it let itself get pierced by those spikes and sing with tears and blood just so it could touch the flower...

That's stupid. Daniel sneered silently in the dark. If it really loved that flower, it should have picked that flower and burn all its thorns.

The weather the next morning was great, so they were able to get out of the tree house. After eating two coconuts, they cut off some branches with a knife and sharpened them to make a simple harpoon with four spikes. Then, they used it to catch two Clown Triggerfish on a sea pit near some coral reefs.

Daniel used the lighter he brought with him to light a bunch of dry leaves, roasted the fish, and said while eating "I recognize this type of fish. I used to keep them as tropical ornamental fish in a large aquarium, I never thought of eating them like this."

"No matter how beautiful the fish is, as long as it's not poisonous, it's just for eating." Luo Yi said unconcernedly.

It was already past seven o'clock by the time the finished filling their bellies. They took their rain-filled plastic bottles with them and climbed up on the cliff again, following the same path back to the jungle. The water points they had set up along the way yesterday were enough to quench their thirst.

Luo Yi, who already had a plan, said to Daniel, "I guess after yesterday's tragic lesson, not many people would dare to take the main road anymore. So in order to hunt us, the human-animals, those hunters are bound to leave their vehicles and enter the wilderness area. I want you, while wearing this overalls, wander around the road and attract a hunter. Once someone spots you, flee to the jungle immediately. Follow the route I've marked and lead them to the trap, which I'm going to set-up now."

"--Why am I the bait?" Daniel protested immediately.

"Because you are not as good as me." was the other man's immediate reply.

Daniel closed his mouth in anger.
