"Got it." Daniel said. He was about to turn to leave but he hesitated for a moment and looked back: "Can I ...... hug you for a moment? I mean, we have been comrades fighting side by side for three days. It's normal to have a goodbye hug-" he looked at the other man's face which was as calm and deep as the sea, then immediately changed his words, "It's okay, I just said it casually, don't mind ......"
"Come here." Sha Qing said as his finger shrouded by a black glove beckoned him.
Daniel's mind went blank. He walked over, feeling as if his body was in the air, and then got a courtesy hug from the other man. But, as Sha Qing gently patted his back twice, he turned his head and tried to give Sha Qing a kiss, completely forgetting that the other's combat strength was far beyond his own.
Sha Qing directly rammed Daniel's mouth and nose with his palm without a change in his expression, and his other hand pulled off a metal chain from the latter's lapel.
It was a short silver-gray chain with a metal tag, somewhat similar to a soldier's dog tag. The difference was that the two-inch square tag had no name engraved on it, but instead, its outer edges were outlined with a strange shape pattern, and the center was a dark red circle, like blood dripping on a mirror surface, splashed with sunrays-like lines around it.
He remembered theis pattern. The morning after they both took off their coats and slept in a makeshift treehouse, he saw a black tattoo on Daniel's chest area. It was a demon skull in a thicket of flames, with this pattern inlaid in its deep eye sockets.
"Give me this as a souvenir of being acquainted with each other." Sha Qing said.
"No-" Daniel wanted to refuse as a reflex, but he swallowed the rest of his words upon hearing the "A souvenir of being acquainted with each other". These words, compared to the usual indifferent things uttered by Sha Qing, were like flower buds that stemmed out from rocks, carrying a subtle warmth, which then quietly bloomed into a ray of joy inside his heart.
He then knew he couldn't refuse- he always couldn't, whether the man was using a hard or soft approach- and not just because the serial killer was stronger than him.
"...Take it," whispered Daniel, "That souvenir is better stored away though. I don't want it to cause you unexpected trouble."
"Thanks." Sha Qing hung the metal chain around his neck, tucking in the pendant inside his shirt.
Daniel, upon thinking that his own warmth that remained in the pendant had come into contact with Sha Qing's body, suddenly had the notion that this kind of skin contact was like an indirect kiss. He tried to take a deep breath to relieve the feverish feeling in his chest, and said in a blunt tone "See you,", then turned away without looking back.
Sha Qing also left without a trace-without leaving the slightest glance to the other side's back.
This was an unexpected gain, Sha Qing silently thought as he touched the new hard object on his chest with his finger through the cloth, Perhaps it would come in handy at some point in the future. For this pendant, he was willing to let Daniel live. He gave him a way out as payment for this item he "bought".

Two CH-47F heavy transport helicopters, loaded with special soldiers, landed at Luna Island Airport. The police's military operation was as swift and efficient as a tidal wave-the unarmed island militants surrendered without much resistance and the skirmishes were all cleared within half an hour. Twenty-seven of the 'human preys' in the southern island camp were rescued, most with varying degrees of injuries. The club's guards and bodyguards, as well as hired workers, were detained separately in the lobby of the camp and clubhouse, waiting to be transported to the ship for identity verifications.
