Leo stepped out of the washroom and found out that Yavre was still in the study answering that phone call. He looked at the closed door - he would rather face a dozen armed villains rather than continue sharing the candlelit dinner with that perverted son of a Duke.

Maybe I should try using medicine? He had brought two bottles of special wine with him when he came to Luna Island to work undercover. One bottle could make people pass out after a few sips and wake up with blurred memories as if they were just drunk; and the other bottle contained a special truth serum for inducing confessions, which was quite difficult for ordinary people to resist, unless they had undergone special mental training.

I'll take this opportunity to slip away and come back tomorrow with two bottles of wine as compensation. Leo had made up his mind, and was about to put his hand on the door handle, when he heard Yavre's voice behind him: "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, dear- oh my, you want to leave without saying goodbye? That's not very polite, isn't it, my friend."

Leo then had to turn around and say, "I thought you had more business to take care of, so I wanted to leave you be for now and just make amends tomorrow."

"Aren't you my business?" The little Duke scrutinized the man opposite him like he was meeting him for the first time, with a smile seemingly on his face. He sat down on the sofa chair and tap the small round table with his fingertips, gesturing for the other man to sit in the chair across from him. And as he took out a deck of cards from the lower level of the table, he said "How about playing some cards with me for awhile-let's play Blackjack."

Leo was surprised. He didn't think that the young Yavre would deliberately keep him here just to play cards, but he couldn't refuse blatantly, so he sat down and shuffled the cards, "Blackjack? Oh, I heard you're a good at it and even won a manor once, little Duke. What do you want to win from me this time? If I can't afford it, I'll run away."

Yavre slowly dealt him two cards and said, "Don't worry; you can certainly afford to give me what I want. And you're still on my turf, where can you run off to?"

Leo managed a smile, making it look like he was concentrating on counting cards.

The little Duke couldn't help but admit that the other man had much better luck with cards than he was. Adding the fact that he was out of sorts tonight and was a bit distracted, he gained more losses than wins. On two occasions, he couldn't help but glance at the wall clock out of the corner of his eye, as if he was waiting for something.

That slight- almost imperceptible- movement did not escape the keen perception of the trained federal agent, and a hint of suspicion grew in the back of Leo's mind.

After about twenty minutes, young Yavre's mobile phone rang again and he immediately picked it up, "Sorry, I'll be right back after this call." He then walked into the study after leaving that sentence.

The slight suspicion in Leo's mind turned into an ominous premonition. As the study's door closed, he pulled out his mobile phone to call Edgar's number. When he heard the voice prompt "Unable to connect", he immediately realized that something had changed.

He had instructed Edgar that his mobile phone must be kept open 24 hours a day, and that he must notify him immediately if anything unexpected happened. The phone was neither "busy" nor "powered off", and the island had sufficient signal, meaning that this situation was caused b when the base station failed when it tried to connect to the user- it defaulted that the phone was still on, but it couldn't find the mobile phone's signal therefore the prompt was "Unable to connect".

The base station would also set a user's status to "powered off" if it fails to find the phone's signal for a long period of time- which was a very important factor, because this meant that Edgar's phone was suddenly disconnected or damaged when in a normal state, and it wasn't that long ago too.

Thinking about the two mysterious calls and Yavre's vague, strange attitude just now, Leo instantly concluded: Most likely, Edgar's side was already exposed!

He immediately reacted: he pulled off the curtain, cut out its notch with the knife placed on the fruit plate, tore it into strips with great force, and formed it into a 17 to 18-meter-long rope. He tied one end to the base of the balcony railings, and threw the other end into the air. He looked down and found out that it still could not reach the ground. Unfortunately, he had no time to extend it more therefore, he had no choice but to grasp the rope with both hands, and using the soles of his shoes to pedal on the wall, he quickly slid down.

When he reached the end of the rope, he was still about 3 to 4 meters above the ground. Gritting his teeth, Leo let go of the rope and jumped down, quickly rolling upon landing on the floor to reduce the impact.

A second after he got up, a few guards in camouflage uniforms who were on patrol happened to chance upon him. Leo immediately patted the dust off his shoulders and pulled a cigarette out of his pocket, making a show of not being able to find his lighter. When the bodyguards came to question him, they recognized his face, and one of them took out a lighter and lit it for him, eagerly asking if he needed anything else.

Garcia took the opportunity to complain that with the cancellation of the nightly entertainment, he was bored out of his mind and that he would like to take a stroll on the beach near the clubhouse (the section that had been fenced with shark nets and was a good place for a swim). The guards reiterated the prohibition of members leaving the clubhouse for the night and they suggested that he should find a few nightingales to play with or to just go to the outdoor pool.

Garcia appeared very unsatisfied when he heard those words: "I don't have the habit of swimming naked in a pool where a lot people come and go!" He tapped the numbered plate on the other's lapel with his cigarette, and said in an arrogant tone, "Give me a ride and I'll pay you ten thousand dollars; or I'll mention this to the little Duke tomorrow and be ready to get fired? And you-" He pointed to the other man "If you dare to talk nonsense too, you're leaving with him."

It's not difficult to decide between the two options, not to mention the gossip about the young Duke's new love interest that had spread throughout the club, making Mr. Yang being unanimously voted by the bodyguards as the number one 'guest you must not offend'.

Likewise, if anyone managed to get Mr. Yang's recommendation, they would certainly have a bright future and a good chance of promotion.

One of the guards quickly ran away and drove over an off-road vehicle, and his companion eyed him with envy.

The guard at the gate saw that it was a colleague who was driving, and the car was only going out, so he let them go without checking.
