Leo's body trembled, like some kind of electricity suddenly flowed into his body. He examined the man in front of him with surprise and vigilance, as if he wanted to strip the other man of his seamless disguise.
After a few seconds of silence, he squeezed a name out of his teeth, "...... Sha Qing!"
"I'm so sorry. I ran into a case with you again," The Asian man said without any sincerity, "I don't expect you to agree, but I think it's still necessary to respect each other, just like how two fighters have to bow to each other before a match: You see, one of us has to withdraw, and I was hoping it to be you, okay?"
"No way." The federal agent stiffly rebuffed.
"Well, I knew this would happen, you stubborn fellow." Sha Qing sighed pretentiously. "I have to tie you up and let you go free only when I'm done with everything here. A word of advice to you, agent: don't resist too much. While I never lash out at anyone other than my target, he's different." He raised his chin pointedly at the blond-brown haired man beside him,
"He's a gangster outlaw who kills without blinking an eye-isn't that right, my little wolf dog?" The latter half of the sentence was said to Daniel in a seemingly affectionate manner.
Daniel looked at the dark-haired agent maliciously as he pondered over Luo Yi's true identity and his inexplicable change of attitude. To be honest, he was not too surprised by the reveal.
Life in prison was boring and reading the newspaper was an important pastime,so of course, he had heard of Sha Qing ,the 'darling' of the news media, the famous serial killer. Young male, Asian, good at disguise, first class at killing, and his victims were always serial murderers ...... Was there anyone who fits the said description better than the young man next to him?
What really puzzled him was Luo Yi's-no, Sha Qing's- sudden lively attitude. He always acted like an awe-inspiring statue, and was ready to fight and kill at every turn. But why did he suppress his murderous aura when he saw the police officer in front of them?
What the hell? Aren't killers and police officers on the opposite side? Aren't they supposed to have some bloody encounter? So what does this weird atmosphere of inexplicable ambiguity mean?! Daniel thought.
He responded to Sha Qing's intimate tone with a fake, flattered look, and then said murderously to Leo: "Agent? Whether you're from the FBI or whatever, you're a member of the law enforcement system either way! I hate all of you!"
"Isn't it better if we just kill directly? Why are you inviting more difficulties for us?" He then complained to the man next to him.
Sha Qing smiled coldly at him, and Daniel suddenly felt a cold wind. He shrank his shoulders reflexively, and had to suppress his dissatisfaction.
"I'm sorry, but I won't allow myself to be captured by you guys without putting up a fight," Leo said grimly, his finger still on the trigger and his feet slowly backing up. Is this blond-brown haired man an accomplice of Sha Qing? It doesn't look like they're the same kind of people ......
It wasn't that Sha Qing was someone "upright" in his mind - this serial killer he had been chasing down for a year was indeed, and irrefutably, a criminal. But at least, so far, he knew that Sha Qing's hands had never been stained with the blood of innocents.
But how can he develop such a close relationship with someone who reeked of contempt for human life and brutal bloodshed?! Is he blind? Can't he see that this guy is a scorpion, a viper, and a jackal with a tail between its legs? And on top of that, he actually calls him "my little wolf dog" so ambiguously? What the hell! A sudden anger and disappointment stirred in the heart of the black haired agent.
