When he received a call from his boss, Gordy, Leo was in the evidence storage room of the Los Angeles Police Department, dealing with dense drawers and a variety of small objects. Although many old files got soaked or were lost in the archives, the relevant material evidences of the unsolved case should have still been preserved, and he tried to find any useful clues from it.

In a drawer labeled "13/4/1996; Lin Family Murder Case", he found a yellowed note, on which the ink had already become somewhat faint, but the handwriting was still clear. He pulled out the letter he got from Saccone's son, and comparing it, he found that the tails of the letters "Y" on both sides were habitually curved in sharp curls. Leo suspected that it was the handwriting of the same person, and if that guess was right, then Saccone's "mentor", Enjoyer, in all likelihood was the murderer who caused the destruction of the Lin family.,

With only these fragmentary clues in hand, finding "Enjoyer" from the vast crowd would be an obviously huge and arduous project, but Leo was determined to bring that devil who had been on the loose for the last twenty years to justice, no matter how difficult it was going to be. This was the most sincere thing he could do for Sha Qing, who was currently in prison.

His mobile phone rang at this moment.

"Whatever you're doing, stop it for now, and come right back here at the headquarters." Gordy said bluntly.

"What happened?"

"'Serial-killer Hunter' escaped from Rikers Island."

Rob promptly saw Leo's figure in the crowd and immediately welcomed him with a big hug, "Hey man, you're finally back! Do you know how much mental torture I've suffered since you fled like the wind? When Molly didn't find you, she almost tore down my door, so I want to buy myself an extra life insurance!"

"Where's Molly?" Leo asked. He also received calls from Molly for the past few days while he was away, but under the excuse of "on a mission", he always hung up on her after saying a few more ambiguous statements. So by now, he figured that his sister's anger had already accumulated to a considerable extent.

"She stayed with her fiancé in the hospital for a week, and the man recovered well. Later, she sensed that you won't be coming back in a short time, so she decided to go out with.....Li Biqing." Rob spat out the name uncomfortably. "They're going on a vacation for a few days. They left for Las Vegas just yesterday."

Leo subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief. He was now able to psychologically put the real Li Biqing into the the role of "brother-in-law", unlike when Sha Qing played as one before, thus he was now more calm and collected than Rob. "Vacation? She never went on one with her previous boyfriends. Maybe they decided to get married in Las Vegas on a whim."

"That's quite possible." Rob laughed.

They left the airport lobby, got into a black Chevrolet SUV and drove downtown.

On the way, while driving, Rob occasionally glanced at his partner in the passenger seat. The latter seemed to lack rest and his face was a bit haggard, but his mental state was much better than when he used to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Under his rich eyebrows were clear dark blue eyes, like a calm and deep sea.

After being brewed by hardships, experience, and all kinds of emotions, this man has a more flavor than before, Rob thought with emotion and jealousy.

"It's not too late yet if you're just now realizing that you're in love with me." The dark-haired agent noticed his partner's peeping and teased, "I don't have a fiancé yet."
