Recap

Seth's POV

I felt myself beginning to worry for Aislin's safety. Thinking back on the vision I had sent my anger flaring and I wanted so badly to go find her. But mother was right. I soon felt the pain killers that grandfather had given me earlier beginning to kick in and felt myself getting drowsy. I lied down onto my bed and allowed myself to go into a sea of blackness.

Please be safe, Aislin.

Seth's POV

When I woke up the next morning, I found that most of my wounds had healed but still left nasty scars and bruises. I sat up on my bed and rubbed my eyes before remembering yesterdays events. I quickly jumped off my bed and changed into a pair of black jeans, a navy t-shirt and my white converse before rushing out of my room and slamming into someone.

We both tumbled to the ground and I let out a groan because I had landed on one of my cuts that hadn't healed fully yet. I jumped up only to see Aunt Vanessa and Uncle Trent looking at me. But when they saw my wounds, they instantly snapped out of their trance and began to apologize.

I smiled at them, remembering that Jake and Chris had gone to look for Aislin, and was about to leave whenTrent grabbed my arm gently and pulled me back, "Seth, where's Jake at and why are you injured?" Uncle Trent didn't approve that father disliked me so he tried his best to treat me like I was his own son and I was grateful for that. I swallowed, "Well...first, me and my dad had a...fight and I thought you already knew where Jake and Chris were at." Vanessa sighed and pulled me into a hug, "Oh Seth, what fight?" She pulled away and gave me a sympathetic smile.

Trent's face contorted into fury, "He fought with you? Why in the hell would he do that?!" He growled. I rubbed the back of my neck and shrugged, "Because, well, he hurt my friend Aislin and I was sick of him being such a bastard to me so I did not like it when he hurt her. She means a lot to me." I whispered the last sentence. Vanessa smiled, "I know, dear. Angel told me and how you mean a lot to Aislin as well." I felt my face heat up but said nothing and felt someone walk up behind me.

I spun around to be face to face with my father. I narrowed my eyes and glared hatefully at him. He only smiled and brushed past me to talk to Vanessa and Trent. I huffed and began to walk down the hallway and caught a couple sentences of their conversation:

"Why the hell did you attack Seth you damn bastard?!" Trent growled. I heard father laughed viciously, "He needs to learn to listen to me, Trent." He spat his name as if he were a filthy parasite and I turned around to see Trent and father chest-to-chest glaring at each other. Vanessa pulled them apart, "Enough! That's enough! You acting like children!"

Trent hissed at father and shoved him against the wall, "I have had it with you treating Seth like a piece of trash!! If you hurt him again like the way you did, I am taking him out of your care!!"

That's when I decided to walk away and downstairs to find Jake and Chris there looking absolutely pissed. I felt my blood boil when I realized that they weren't there alone. There were two other men there that I recognized as Darren, the leader of the rogue leeches, and his damn cousin, Christian. They were standing there nonchalontly (sp?) when I found that Chris was holding a passed-out, nearly half-naked Aislin. I was instantly speechless.

I was instantly in front of Darren and grabbed him by the shirt, my patience and anger hanging on by a thread, "What. Did. You. Do to her?" I hissed/growled at him. Darren laughed at me and pushed me away roughly; causing me to fall to the ground. I jumped up and looked at Jake, "What the hell are they doing here?!! They hurt her!!" Jake nodded stiffly and glanced at the leeches, "I know they did. And they're not going to get away with it." He said furiously.

I then understood what he meant when Darren raised his wrist and I saw a silver-bracelet around it with a red light blinking on it. A Tracking Device. They were both wearing one which meant that they couldn't harm us. Tracking devices were meant to make sure that the vampires came in peace and if they did try to harm us, well, the bracelet would burn them and sent excruciating pain throughout there entire body. This I was dying to see.

I went over to Chris and took Aislin from his arms. Letting her head fall onto my shoulder. That's when I realized just how right my vision had been. She had bite marks, numerous bite marks, all over neck, arms, and chest. I let a growl erupt from my throat and looked up Darren who was watching me humorously.

"You think this is funny, leech? Hurting innocent, human girls?!!" I hissed. Darren let out one of his creepy laughs and nodded, "Yes, actually, I find it outstanding. You know? Tasting virgin flesh just makes me ecstatic." I let out a loud growl that filled the whole room and felt myself began to shake. He was asking for it. But I knew he loved to see me squirm so I tried my best to control my anger. I didn't do so well.

"Oh yeah? Well, how would you like it if I attacked your disgusting daughter, huh?" I taunted. This time it was Darren's turn to growl. Whenever I mentioned anything about his 15 year old daughter, Melody, he would get furious and defensive. "Don't talk about my daughter that way." He hissed angrily. I raised an eyebrow and let out an angry laugh, "What are you gonna do if I don't? Remember? You're here in peace." I mocked.

Darren smiled evilly, "Which only makes things even more easier." Me, Jake, and Chris looked at him in confusion and before we knew it, Darren and Christian had broken the silver bracelets in half, pushed us to the ground and shattering of glass came from everywhere. That's when we were instantly surrounded by vampires. Each of them evil in there own twisted way. But beyond all of them, male and female, only one stood out.

And it was Blake's sister, Jessica, of whom I knew all to well.

She gave me a fake innocent smile and flashed her fangs out.

Ah, damn it.
