Aislin's POV
Amber let out a soft chuckle, “Oh come one, Aislin. I think we past the term ‘crazy’, months ago.” I was about to speak when that caught me, “What the hell does that mean?” Amber shook her head, “Nothing. Go on.” I sighed, “I…I thought I had saw…Seth in the store a couple minutes ago.” Amber froze and turned her eyes so they were on the road.
I clenched my jaw together, “See!! You think I’m nuts, don’t you?!” Amber shook her head, "Of course not! I just think...maybe...I don't know...let's just talk about something else. Okay?" I folded my arms across my chest and huffed angrily, "I couldn't agree more."
Gee, ain't it so great to hear from your own sister that you sound crazy? Ha...
I sighed and shook my head slightly, "Maybe I am going crazy..."

Jake's POV
Something seriously was wrong. Sure, something bad happened all the time, and I'm not even joking on that. But this feeling...this aura that kept enamanating from the forest kept sending chills up and down my body. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who felt like this. The rest of the pack members, including the Head-Male Alpha, Jade. And when the head-alpha male of the pack was nervous, the rest of us were and it wasn't good.
So, as always, since I'm am the second oldest of the pack next to Jade's son, Jace, who is a jackass, I was sent out to check what was hiding in the forest. Which gave me the creeps since it was at night. Jade always told us that the best way to stay hidden from enemies or humans is usually at night. Unfortunately, that went the same for our enemies. But there was still a little bit of daylight and the sun was going down. Making the forest turn dark and creepy-like.
I sniffed the ground cautiously and made my way through the forest floor when I heard a slight rustle in the bushes across from me. Quickly, I whipped my head up and bared my canines before letting a low, vicious growl escape the back of my throat. Never back down or show any signs of fear. That was another rule that Jade had taught us. If we backed down, that would give the enemy a chance to attack and possibly kill us. Or if you showed any signs of fear, it was the same thing.
But that didn't stop the thing or whatever it was to stay quiet. Instead, from what I was hearing, it sounded like a mountain lion mixed with a vampire growl. It was creepy scary. But what I did was stand up straight, place each paw in a ready-to-lunge position and didn't peel my eyes from the bush, making my gaze stern and cold.
Though, as I watched the thing come out, it wasn't either a vampire nor a mountain lion.
No, it was something different. Someone I recognized.
And that someone had been killed two years ago.
Aislin's POV
Something felt wrong. Very wrong. And I felt that feeling a lot usually. It felt like...well, I couldn't describe the feeling. The only thing I could describe of it was that it wasn't good. And it kinda hurt. Literally. I had a sharp pain above where my heart is and occasionally I would rub the spot. I had told my mom and she thought I was developing Asthma but whatever.
I rubbed the spot again and grimaced when I felt the pain stab me then subside. I had made an appointment with my doctor and I was now in the waiting room feeling impatient and tired. I rubbed my temple in annoyance after I checked the wall clock again. It was 5:24 P.M. and as usual, the waiting room was half full with people. Most of them adults with their little children.
